Yo, que tena an el ponche en la mano, se lo tir con vaso y todo y se arm la
gresca en un santiamn. A decir verdad, confieso que llev en la batalla la peor parte. Mi
enemigo, aunque ya era viejo, era mucho ms hombre y de mejores puos. Nos
apartaron y lo desafi entonces para fuera de la ramada. Sin decir una palabra me
sigui. Las mujeres empezaron a gritar pidiendo que nos atajaran, pero los hombres nos
hicieron un cerco, y tirando a un lado el poncho y el sombrero desenvainamos los
cuchillos.
