NORMAS DE PUBLICACIN DE LA REVISTA PSICOONCOLOGA

Las normas de publicacin de la revista son las siguientes:
a)

Los artculos que se enven a la revista Psicooncologa, deben ser originales, no

publicados ni enviados para su publicacin a otra revista. Los autores enviarn sus
trabajos al Secretario de Redaccin, quin acusar recibo de los mismos y, junto al
Director, solicitar de dos especialistas (Miembros del Consejo Editorial o consultores
especficos) la revisin del original. Transcurrido un plazo, no superior a tres meses, se
notificar al autor(es) la aceptacin, rechazo, o bien las modificaciones del original que
se juzguen necesarias para su posterior aceptacin. La publicacin del trabajo implica
que los autores transfieren los derechos de copyright a los editores quienes, con el
consentimiento de los autores, podrn incluir el trabajo en monografas de trabajos
publicados en la revista.
b)

La responsabilidad del contenido de los artculos publicados en la revista es de

competencia exclusiva de los firmantes del artculo y de ninguna manera ser atribuible
al Director o Comit Editorial. Los autores de los artculos son los responsables de la
obtencin del permiso correspondiente para incluir en su artculo cualquier material
publicado en otro lugar. La revista declina cualquier responsabilidad que se derive de la
posible falta de permiso en la reproduccin de cualquier material.
c) Se remitir el original en microsoft Word u otro procesador de texto por correo
electrnica a: Psicooncologa@psi.ucm.es, o bien se enviar por correo en un CD al
domicilio postal de la revista.
d)

La extensin mxima del trabajo ha de ser de 25 pginas, excluidas tablas, notas

y figuras, siempre ser apreciada la brevedad.

El trabajo se organizar del siguiente modo:

1. Artculos de investigacin, Resmenes de investigacin y Estudios de casos:
Introduccin, Mtodo, Resultados, Discusin/ Conclusiones, Notas y
Referencias; Tablas y Figuras
2. Artculos de revisin terica: Planteamiento del problema, Desarrollo del tema,
Discusin/Conclusiones y Referencias; Tablas y Figuras.
3.

Informes investigacin: ttulo del trabajo, Autor, tipo de trabajo (tesis, trabajo
doctorado o master), Director/es, Centro de Investigacin, Fecha de Lectura,
Opcional: entidades financieras, agradecimientos, E-mail. Resumen en que
constar: objetivos, sujetos, metodologa, resultados, Conclusiones.

4. Recensiones y Noticias: Formato libre, con una extensin mxima de 2 pginas

DIN-A4 y 10 referencias bibliogrficas.
e)

En la primera pgina aparecer el ttulo del estudio, nombre y apellidos de los

autores, centro de trabajo, direccin postal de contacto, nmero de telfono y, en su

caso, n de fax y correo electrnico.
En la segunda pgina figurarn exclusivamente, y por este orden, el resumen y
las palabras clave. El resumen debe proporcionarse en castellano e ingls y debe
aparecer estructurado en: objetivo, mtodo, resultado y conclusiones. La extensin del
resumen no debe superar las 250 palabras en los artculos originales y las 150 palabras
en las notas clnicas y revisiones. Las palabras clave se indicarn al pie del resumen,
tanto en castellano e ingls, su nmero oscila entre 3 y 8.
f)

Bibliografa
Ir en hoja aparte, al final del texto, ser referida, segn el orden de aparicin en

el texto, con numeracin correlativa que se colocar entre parntesis en el texto. El

estilo ser el reseado a continuacin basado en los Requisitos de uniformidad (estilo
Vancouver). En el artculo constar siempre la numeracin de la cita en nmero
volado, vaya o no acompaada del nombre de los autores; cuando se mencionen stos
en el texto, si se trata de un trabajo realizado por dos, se mencionan ambos, y si se trata
de varios se citar el primero seguido de la expresin et al. El nombre de las revistas
citadas en las referencias bibliogrficas deber ir abreviado, de acuerdo con las normas
del formato Vancouver.

Las tablas y figuras se enviarn en hoja aparte, correlativamente numeradas, con

el ttulo en la parte superior. En el texto se debe marcar el lugar donde han de insertarse.
Las figuras sern de buena calidad, en blanco y negro, excepto en aquellos trabajos en
que est justificado el color. Si una tabla ocupa ms de un folio se repetirn los
encabezamientos en la hoja siguiente. La revista aconseja que las tablas ocupen hasta un
mximo de una pgina impresa. Cuando se haya efectuado un estudio estadstico se
indicar a pie de tabla la tcnica empleada y el nivel de significacin, si no se hubiera
incluido en el texto de la tabla. Todas las tablas y figuras debern incluirse en diskette.
h)

El primer firmante recibir diez separatas del trabajo.

INSTRUCTIONS TO AUTHORS
The manuscripts should be submitted double-spaced typed in A4 sheets of paper,
numbered in the upper right side. They will be sent by e-mail, preferably using ASCII
system, Microsoft Word or Word Perfect.
The first page will only include the following data by this order: Title of the manuscript
in Spanish and English, full name of the authors; Faculty, hospital and service where the
work was done and full address of the first author for correspondence.
The second page will contain by this order: title of the manuscript, abstract and the
beginning on the text. The abstract, in Spanish and English, will include the objectives,
most outstanding results an main conclusions of the manuscript. The will be presented
in such a way that they can be understood without completely reading the article. The
abstracts of Original Manuscripts and Preliminary Communications will be structured
as follows: objective, method, results and conclusions; they must not exceed 150-200
words. The length of abstract will be 150 words in Clinical Notes and Joint Reviews. A
list of 3 to 10 key words should be at the bottom of the abstract. The use of key words
based on medical subject headings (MeSH) of Index Medicus is recommended.
Text structuring: It will vary according to the section:
a) Original manuscripts: They will have a brief Introduction stating the purpose of the
paper, and written in such a way that the reader may understand the following text.
Materials and Methods in which material used, either human of experimental,
characteristics, selection criteria and techniques will be set forth. Reference or direct
data for the repetition of the mentioned experience by the reader must be facilitated.
Results that will refer data obtained from the performance of the study, without any
comment. These data can be explained in detail in the text, tables or figures. Discussion
where authors will state heir opinions on the comparison with results achieved by other
author authors in similar publications, suggestions for the future papers on the same
topic, and other things.
b) Preliminary communications will have a structure similar to the original
manuscripts.

c) Clinical Notes: They will include an Introduction similar to the original
manuscripts. Contributed case or cases where anamnesis, clinical exploration, and
supplementary studies as well as the progress of the patient and Discussion that will
follow the structure of originals.
d) Joint Reviews: The text will be divided into as many sections as the author deems
necessary for a full understanding of the subject.
e) Others papers: Their structure will be according to the author`s criteria or the
conventional patterns.
The list of references should be typed in a separate sheet and will be cited in the order
that they appear in the text, with consecutive numbers in parentheses in the text .It is not
recommended to use references of meeting proceedings or textbooks. The style
described below, based on the Uniform Requirements (Vancouver Style), should be
followed.
Journal articles:
1. Standard article : Last name(s) and initials of the authors up to six authors; if there are
more than six, then the first ones are mentioned and et al. is added; Title of the article,
Name of the journal, Year of publication, Volume and initial and final pages.
2. Article with a Digital Object Identifier (DOI)
If an article has a DOI, this should be provided after the page number details. The
number is added after the letters 'doi'.

The names of journals should be abridged according to the style used in Index Medicus
(List of Journals Indexed) included in the January issue of Index Medicus and the
website of NLM library (http://www.nlm.nlh.gov),
