What are articles and what do they do?

1.Articles help us identify if a noun is masculine
or feminine.
Most words that end with:
-o are masculine
-a
-ión are feminine
-ad

2. Articles can also tell us if a word is singular/plural.

There are 2 types of articles in Spanish:

Nouns ending in a “-z” change to “-c”, add “-es”

el lápiz los lapices

Add or remove an accent mark in the plural.

la lección las lecciones
el examen los exámenes
