2006.2008

Volunteer in El Yunque National Rainforest, guiding the general public

through trails. During these nature walks I identified and explained
characteristic vegetation in each trail. This work was done both in English
and in Spanish. Took part in the maintenance of trails and roads alongside
the forest.

2006-2007

Volunteer as a Part of El Club me importas t of United Way, a group

focused on providing service to the community. As a part of this group I
participated and led various projects I including: visiting childrens
hospitals, homes for the elderly, providing food for the homeless and
publicizing the Ni un Tiro Ms al Aire campaign. The Ni un Tiro ms
al Aire campaign strives to prevent death caused by lost bullets shot in to
the air as a part of Christmas celebrations.
