Estimados, Es un gran placer y satisfaccin llegar a vosotros a travs del primer nmero del Newsletter MUKA, el cual ha sido desarrollado para acercar la arquitectura a todos los que fuertemente creis, al igual que nosotros, que este campo puede aportar a nuestro entorno parmetros sociales adicionales que mejoren nuestra forma de vivir. Adems de solucionar los evidentes problemas constructivos, se pretende impregnar a nuestro trabajo de la exploracin en otros territorios como el arte, paisajismo o filosofa en trminos de identidad y en la que trabajamos diariamente aquellos que formamos parte de MUKA, directa o indirectamente. Segn numerosas solicitudes que hemos recibido por vuestra parte requirindonos algn medio de comunicacin que os informase de los avances del estudio y los proyectos, exposiciones, conferencias en las que estamos trabajando o formamos parte, esta publicacin -de la que todava no sabemos exactamente su grado de periodicidad y que depender de las noticias que recopilemos- pretende consolidarse como un pilar fundamental del desarrollo de nuestro trabajo. Por eso, a travs de este nuevo canal de comunicacin os mantendremos informados de nuestros planes actuales y futuros, como as tambin del estado de los proyectos en curso en cada uno de los apartados de MukaArquitectura, MukaRehabilitacin y MukaSauna, creando sinergias y optimizando al extremo los recursos. Dear colleagues, It is a great pleasure and satisfaction to inform you about the beginning of MUKA Newsletter, which has been developed to bring architecture to all who strongly believe, as we do, that this field could develop additional social skills that improve the way we live. Besides solving obvious construction problems, our research work intends to be influenced by other areas such as art, landscape or philosophy in terms of identity, in which we daily work those who take part of MUKA. The aim of this Newsletter pretends to inform you about our ongoing work, exhibitions and conferences we are collaborating at the moment, according to several requests we have received from you regarding an additional system of upgrading the information periodically, The periodicity of this publication will depends on the news we collets in order to establish itself as the core of the development of our work. Therefore, through this new communication channel will keep you informed of our current and future plans, as well as the status of ongoing projects in each of the sections of MukaArquitectura, MukaRehabilitacion and MukaSauna, creating synergies and optimizing resources.

01. MUKA SEMIFINALISTA EN LOS PREMIOS INTERNACIONALES DE ILUMINACIN: LAMP LIGHTING DESING AWARDS 2013
Tenemos la satisfaccin de comunicaros que el Proyecto de Iluminacin del Castillo de Buitrago de Lozoya ha sido elegido semifinalista en los Premios Internacionales de Iluminacin 2013. En las prximas semanas el jurado elegir los cuatro finalistas que acudirn a la Entrega de Premios. Adems del Proyecto de Buitrago han sido elegidos otros catorce finalistas de todo el mundo, entre los que destaca el proyecto de iluminacin de la pera de Sydney (1), las oficinas de la Fundacin del Empresariado Chihuahuense, Mxico (2), o el Silo 468 en Helsinki, Finlandia (3).
MUKA SEMIFINALIST IN THE INTERNATIONAL LIGHTING AWARDS: LAMP LIGHTING DESIGN AWARDS 2013 We are pleased to announce that the lighting project to Buitrago de Lozoya Castle was selected as semifinalist in the Lighting International Awards 2013. In the coming weeks, the jury will finally select four finalists who will attend the award ceremony. Besides Buitrago Project, there were chosen fourteen other finalists from all over the world, as the lighting project of Sydney Opera House, Australia (1), the Headquarters of the Chihuahuan Business Foundation, Mexico (2) or Silo 468 in Helsinki, Finland (3).

02. COMIENZAN LOS TRABAJOS DE OBRA Y ENCOFRADO EN LA VIVIENDA UNIFAMILIAR DOBLEC.

Ya se ha reiniciado los trabajos de excavacin y pruebas de hormigonado en la vivienda DOBLEC. El encofrado propuesto consiste en la disposicin vertical de una serie de berenjenos que, unido a un carcter terroso del aditivo, su rotura produce una textura irregular y vibrante, y un ritmo irregular de matices, luces y sombras en la propia fachada.
WORK BEGINS AT DOBLEC HOUSE CONSTRUCTION SITE, BESIDES TESTS FORMWORK. It has already restarted the excavation and concreting tests DOBLEC housing. The proposed shuttering consists of a series of vertical triangleshape sticks which, combined with earthy character of the additive, its breaking produces an irregular and vibrant pattern, besides an irregular rhythm of shades, lights and shadows on the faade itself.

03. SE FINALIZA LA REDACCIN DEL PROYECTO DE REHABILITACIN DE LA ESTACIN DE TREN DE ROBREGORDO, MADRID
Hemos completado la redaccin del Proyecto que propone la rehabilitacin de la antigua Estacin de Tren de Robregordo, en la Sierra Norte de Madrid, como edificio de uso pblico y hotel rural. El proyecto se completa con la previsin de un restaurante bajo-cubierta con unas vistas nicas a toda la Sierra de Madrid. Se prev la creacin de cinco puestos de trabajo de manera directa e indirecta a partir de la puesta en marcha de las instalaciones, unidas a la creacin de un Museo del Ferrocarril y actividad culturales, ldicas y de montaa.
THE DETAILED PROJECT: RENOVATION OF THE OLD TRAIN STATION IN ROBREGORDO MADRID- HAS BEEN COMPLETED. We have completed the drafting of the Renovation Project at the old Robregordo Train Station, in the Sierra Norte de Madrid, for a new public use and rural hotel. The project also includes the provision of a low-deck restaurant with unique views across the Sierra de Madrid.

In addition to this, the project will generate five new jobs positions for running the installations, apart from the new railway museum and cultural, recreational countryside activities. and

04. APROBADO EL PROYECTO DE EJECUCIN DE 4 VIVIENDAS DE VPPA Robregordo. IVIMA (INSTITUTO DE LA VIVIENDA DE MADRID)
Despus de un ao y medio de reuniones con el IVIMA, ya ha sido aprobado el Proyecto para la Ejecucin de cuatro viviendas de Proteccin Oficial en uno de los municipios madrileos ms alejados de la capital, en la Sierra Norte de Madrid. El proyecto enfatiza la relacin que debe tener la nueva arquitectura con las edificaciones rurales e histricas de una escala menor, en la bsqueda del tamao y materiales adecuados que mejoren las condiciones de vida en estos municipios y su entorno urbano, atrayendo a nuevos residentes.

FOUR SOCIAL HOUSING PROJECT HAS BEEN APPROVED BY THE SOCIAL HOUSING INSTITUTE OF MADRID IVIMA-. After a year and a half of meetings with IVIMA, the project for the construction of four social housing, in one of the most remote towns from Madrid, has been approved.

05. COMIENZAN LOS PREPARATIVOS PARA LA CONFERENCIA EN MONTREAL 2013: LA LNEA, EL CRCULO Y LA LNEA QUEBRADA
Estamos preparando el texto para la conferencia seleccionada por la Asociacin Internacional de diseadores de iluminacin de Chicago (IALD) para el encuentro internacional de Octubre 2013 que tiene lugar en Montreal, Canad. En la conferencia expondremos algunos de los proyectos en los que estamos trabajando desde la importancia de una iluminacin adecuada en las obras de arquitectura que potencie la idea construida.

MUKA STARTS PREPARING THE CONFERENCE IN MONTREAL TITLED THE LINE, THE CIRCLE AND THE BROKEN LINE. We are preparing the conference text selected by the International Association of Lighting Designers of Chicago (IALD) for the international meeting which takes place in October 2013 in Montreal, Canada. The conference will discuss some of the projects we are working from the importance of adequate lighting in architecture that enhances the built idea.

06. MUKASAUNA. PRUEBAS DE CONSTRUCCIN DE LA PATENTE PARA LA SAUNA MUKA 1.0

Tras la aprobacin del Modelo de Utilidad Habitculo Teraputico mejorado de paredes ergonmicas por la Oficina Espaola de Patentes y Marcas (Ministerio de Industria, Energa y Turismo) y nmero de Patente U201200391, hemos comenzado a desarrollar las pruebas de fabricacin para ofrecerla al mercado en la prxima campaa 2013-14.

TEST CONSTRUCTION OF PATENT FOR SAUNA MUKA 1.0 Following approval of the Utility Model "improved therapeutic Carrier ergonomic wall" by the Spanish Patent and Trademark Office (Ministry of Industry, Energy and Tourism) and patent number U201200391, we have begun to develop manufacturing test and be ready to offer it to the market next season 2013-14.
