Crear una tienda online

planificación
Un error muy común cuando se quiere crear una tienda
online es pensar que todo el proceso se va a llevar a
cabo por Internet, cuando existen tareas de reflexión
clave antes de empezar con ningún proceso.
Esto es lo que se conoce como planificación inicial y
está compuesta, a su vez, por varios estudios.
 a) Estudio de
mercado
•Comprobación de búsquedas: utiliza herramientas para determinar si hay
búsquedas del producto o servicio que vas a vender. También evalúa si la
demanda es alta.
•Estudio de la competencia: estudiar a la competencia es muy importante,
ya que así podremos definir quién es nuestro buyer persona (es decir,
nuestro cliente objetivo) y empezar a pensar de qué manera nos vamos a
dirigir al mismo.
•Volumen de negocio: no es lo mismo crear una tienda pequeña que tan
solo vaya a tener acciones a nivel local, que un completo negocio que cubra
todo el país, incluso que se atreva con las ventas a nivel internacional. En
esta primera etapa, es crucial pensar en el volumen de negocio.
b) ¿Cómo vamos a satisfacer nuestros
objetivos?

Deberías hacerte las siguientes preguntas:

•¿Qué tecnología tendrías que usar para elaborar tu eCommerce?

•¿Cuál es el mejor hosting para hospedar tu proyecto web?
•¿Qué estructura necesitas que tenga tu página? ¿Cuáles van a ser las
categorías principales y sus subcategorías? ¿Va a tener un catálogo grande o
pequeño?
•¿Qué funciones te interesa que tenga la página?
c) ¿Qué opciones de pago y de entrega vas a
ofrecer?

8 de cada 10 abandonos del carrito de compra están relacionados con la forma de

pago y de entrega. De ahí la importancia de planificarlos previamente, antes de
implantarlos en la web.

Métodos de entrega: es importante elegir modos de entrega que se adapten a las

necesidades del cliente. Aunque lo más habitual es entregar a domicilio, también
existen otras opciones, como podrían ser entregas más rápidas (expres), o entregas en
punto de recogida. En este punto es especialmente importante cuidar los gastos de
envío.

Medios de pago: existen una gran cantidad de métodos de pago, pero no puedes
elegir cualquiera. Deberías de dar un mínimo de 3 opciones, pero estos también
deben adaptarse a las necesidades de tus clientes.
2. Visualización

a) Nombre
¿Sabes por qué no puedes elegir cualquier nombre para tu tienda online? La
elección de un nombre nos da personalidad, además de ser un valor
diferencial ante nuestros competidores.
Pero también es importante porque facilitan el recuerdo, potencian la
conexión con el público objetivo y suele coincidir con el dominio de la
tienda, así que también ayuda a la localización de la marca.
Piensa muy bien en el nombre de tu tienda online. No puedes elegir
cualquier cosa o lo lamentarás.
b) Logo
El siguiente paso es pensar en el logo que va a identificar a la empresa.
Como en el caso del nombre, no se puede elegir cualquier logo. Debe
cumplir con las siguientes particularidades:
Tiene que ser único: tan solo se puede asociar con tu marca y no con
cualquier otra.
Debe representar a la marca: tiene que haberse diseñado teniendo en cuenta
a tu público objetivo.
c) Diseño y estructura
Otra de las etapas de desarrollo de creación de una tienda en línea se relaciona con el diseño y la
estructura. Si es caótico y no ayuda al usuario a encontrar lo que necesita, tendremos problemas.
Estas son las claves que nos permiten optimizar ambos criterios:
La carga debe ser lo más rápida posible: si una página tarda más de 10 segundos en cargar,
despídete de que el usuario haga la compra en tu tienda online. Lo más probable es que cierre la
web y se decante por una opción de tu competencia.
La navegación debe ser intuitiva: el usuario no debe tener conocimientos técnicos ni de
informática para poder moverse por la web. Lo interesante es potenciar la experiencia del usuario,
para que pueda encontrar con facilidad lo que necesita.
Secciones importantes: no olvides de incluir secciones como la de “Quienes somos” (para acercarte
al cliente y saber quién le está vendiendo), “Contacto” (por si necesita contactar contigo), o el
“Aviso legal” para cumplir con la legislación vigente.
Contenido: aunque tu proyecto sea una tienda online, debes prestar especial importancia al
contenido. El texto debe ser de calidad, pero tiene que estar acompañado por recursos como
imágenes, vídeos, infografías, o cualquier otro que le aporte valor.
Diseño responsive: por último, pero no menos importante, debemos asegurarnos de que el diseño de
la tienda online es responsive; esto quiere decir que se adaptará a todo tipo de resolución, con
independencia de que la web se consulte a través del teléfono móvil, de una Tablet o desde cualquier
otro dispositivo.

El primer paso es elegir el tipo de CMS que más se adapte a tus necesidades. Puedes
avanzar a la última parte de este gran tutorial para elegir la opción que más te conviene
entre varias alternativas.
La gran ventaja de usar un CMS es que se trabaja sobre un sistema de plantilla. Así, lo
único que habrá que hacer es personalizar todos los detalles que necesitemos que cuente
la web.
b) Theme

El siguiente paso es seleccionar el theme o plantilla.

Algunas de las mejores plataformas cuentan con mucha variedad, incluso hasta puedes
filtrar por tipo. Nosotros deberíamos buscar un tipo de theme que se adaptase a una
tienda online, ya que así contará con las secciones pertinentes de catálogo, carrito de la
compra, etc.
c) Catálogo

Esta es otra de esas etapas de desarrollo de la tienda online que más tiempo te va
a requerir. Debes subir todo tu catálogo de productos, ya que solo así el cliente
podrá interactuar con el mismo y decantarse finalmente por la compra.
Opciones más habituales para subir el catálogo:
Subida manual: es la opción más lenta, ya que te exigirá subir cada artículo de
forma individual, con su título, descripción, imágenes, atributos, y cualquier otro
tipo de campo. Es la más recomendada, ya que podrás ir trabajando el
posicionamiento SEO a medida que subes cada artículo.
Subida automatizada: es más rápida, ya que tan solo requiere de la subida de
un archivo que te proporcionará tu proveedor. Pero es posible que requiera de
adaptaciones y tiene el problema de que todos los textos serán iguales que los
que recibirán otros clientes

Una vez que tengamos elegida la plantilla y hayamos dado forma al catálogo, quedan

planificación, así que ahora tan solo los tienes que implantar. Recuerdas que cada
método requiere de algo de tiempo y de unas validaciones.
Añade los métodos de envío: de la misma forma, también es el momento de agregar
los métodos de envío que vas a usar.
Mejora la experiencia de usuario: buscaremos la forma de que el usuario tenga que
hacer la mínima cantidad de clics para llegar a su destino.

Posicionamiento SEO: la web no se va a actualizar por si sola, sino que habrá que
implantar una estrategia de posicionamiento SEO que permita mejorar su posición
con el tiempo. Si tienes los conocimientos y la experiencia suficiente, también
puedes ofrecer este tipo de servicio.
