Forming simple YES and NO questions is easy. In
Spanish, reverse the order of the subject and the
verb (verb 1st and subj. 2nd) and use an inverted
question mark at the beginning of the question.
*This will eliminate the “do you” or “does he/she”
because it is stated with the verb first. There is
no Spanish translation for “do you…”

¿Habla Juan mucho en clase?

When answering questions, pay attention to the

verb form. The verb form in the answer will be
based on the question.

If the question is asked of you, the answer is in

the I form. If the question asks about him, then
the answer is also about him, etc.

EVERY sentence (answer) must have a

subject and a verb followed by an object.
