2°, 3°, 4°, y 5°, del ciclo de primaria del nivel de educación Básica y los grados 10° y 11° del nivel de educación media
académica.
Por el gran numero de estudiantes de edad escolar se organizó la primaria iniciandose su funcionamiento transitoriamente
en el año de 1963.
Las actividades escolares se desarrollaban en casas de familia como la familia Pardo ubicada en la Mza  29, la familia
Benjumea en la Mza 19 casa N° hoy Colegio Jorge Isaac.
Con la construcción y el poblamiento del barrio la Esperanza en sus dos primeras  etapas, el Instituto de Crédito territorial
donó el terreno al municipio de Villavicencio para una escuela del sector oficial en el ciclo de primaria.
 Para la construcción del primer bloque fue necsaria la ayuda de la Comunidad y el aporte de los fondos solicitadas por la
Secretaria de Educación de la época Anita Briceño de Cuellar y el gobernador del departamento Ernesto Jara Castro, al plan
de ayuda de los Estados Unidos "ALIANZA PARA EL PROGRESO" impulsado por su presidente JOHN FITZGERALD KENNEDY,
del cual lleva su nombre.
La primera promoción del ciclo de primaria en el año de 1965 fue de 35 estudiantes (18 varones y 17 mujeres). Bajo la
dirección de  la señora rectora NOEMÍ CASTELLANOS DE ANGEL.
Con el transcurrir del tiempo, la Institución creció en infraestructura y servicio gracias a la dinámica  labor de la Comunidad
Educativa, el ICCE y el Gobierno Departamental.
A partir del año 1995 se inicio el ciclo de enseñanza Básica secundaria con la apertura de varios cursos para el grado sexto.
La primera promoción de Bachilleres básicos se   dio en el año 1998.
Al finalizar el año 2002 la Secretaría de Educación Departamental con base en el plan de organización del sector educativo
emitió la resolución 1958 del 25 de Noviembre de 2002 fucionando administravamente los establecimientos educativos
oficiales Colegio John Fitzgerald Kennedy y Jardín nacional estableciéndose la nueva razón social Institución Educativa
Colegio John Fitzgerald Kennedy.
En el año 2004 se da inicio a la Educación Media con la apertura del grado décimo, proyectando la prmera promoción de
bachilleres académicos para el año 2005.

por la región;  desarrollando con ellos
altos niveles de pensamiento
complejo, estimulando el liderazgo y
el talento artístico, haciendo uso del
inglés como lengua extranjera y
utilizando los avances de la ciencia y la
tecnología en pro de la construcción
de un proyecto de vida claro, el cual
esté encaminado a la búsqueda de
alternativas y estrategias que le sirvan
de apoyo para la solución de los
problemas de su entorno.

to the search of alternative and
strategies that serve him as support for
the solution of the problems of their
environment.
