LECTURA
Over the last two decades, agriculture systems have benefited from the incorporation of
technological advances developed for other industries, such as GPS, communication systems,
and imaging systems. Traditional agriculture was initially by the introduction of machines and
the use of synthesized fertilizers. Later on, advances came from genetics and the automation
of agricultural processes. Recently, the age of communications and information technologies
has allowed for the integration of new devices, methods, and procedures to develop precision
agriculture.
The principal components in-field devices are: the web server, remote clients, and the
supervisor.
The Field Stations consist of a data logger, a radio device for wireless data transmission, a
power source (solar panel, charger, and battery), and one or more sensors.

LECTURA
A web application could be developed to help the user to access in real time information. A
web application depends of the service provider.
The local server is connected to a Local Area Network to get access to the information from
field stations. That is an important tool to the user in different places. The system turns back
information that contains different alarms and messages related to the irrigation system
operation and measurement stations status.
A limitation factor in this system is the fact about not good internet service in the location where
the system is installed. In this case, a GPS modem with wireless function can be synchronize
with the servers.
Some providers can give the option to choose between English and Spanish.

SAFETY AND HEALTH IN THE USE OF AGROCHEMICALS
Agrochemicals are used around the world to improve or protect crops and livestock.
Fertilizers are applied to get good yields from crops and these ones are also protected from
insects and disease through the use of pesticides. Farm animals are also protected from
parasites and disease by veterinary treatment such as vaccination, oral dosing or immersion
dipping.
The products that are used to those activities should include advertising symbols associate
to the activity such as handling, storage, transport and spillage.
Some symbols with different meanings should appear on the label of a substance telling us if
it is inhaled or ingested or if it penetrates the skin, may involve health risks.

NUMBERS
Numbers are special words that we use to count things. Imagine you have some
apples. You can use numbers to tell how many apples you have.
Numbers also help us count and organize things. They start with the number 1, and
then we add one more to get 2, then 3, and so on.
Counting is simple and fun. You can count your toys, your candies, your fingers and
toes or your olive trees! Just say the numbers one after the other: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5... and
so on.
For example, if you have 3 apple trees and 2 olive trees, you can use numbers to say
you have 5 trees.
Numbers can be big, like how many stars are in the sky, or small, like how many
buttons are on your shirt. Learning about numbers will help you understand and talk
about all the things around you.

They cannot tolerate temperatures below 20 °F (-7 °C) for a lot of days, but some cold is
