muerte trabajadores migrantes. Uno de los problemas más destacados en Qatar sin duda alguna
es la de los derechos humanos, pues envuelve violencia contra personas de la comunidad LGBTQ
hasta mujeres y malos tratos a sus trabajadores, demostrándonos la poca posibilidad de
oportunidades laborales que tendría un migrante al llegar a este país. Cabe resaltar que este país
se rige bajo la ley Sharía que se basa en el Corán. Al igual que sus sanciones también son
consideradas extremas, ejemplo de estos son los artículos 290 donde especifica que cualquier
persona que haga cualquier gesto, diga o cante cosas morales o realice actos obscenos en un lugar
público, puede ser castigado con seis meses de prisión o pagar una multa de (QR 3.000). Pese a las
reformas gubernamentales, la población trabajadora migrante continuó sufriendo abusos
laborales y teniendo dificultades para cambiar de empleo libremente. Las restricciones a la
libertad de expresión aumentaron en el periodo previo a la Copa Mundial de la FIFA de 2022.
