Mujer maravilla

Es una superheroína de DC Comics que aparece en historietas,

dibujos animados y películas. Fue creada por William Moulton
Marston, y su primera aparición fue en la revista All Star Comics N° 8
(diciembre de 1941). Es una de las primeras superheroínas y podría
decirse que es la más popular en su género. Marston ideó a la Mujer
Maravilla como un personaje puramente feminista y la mayoría de los
escritores la describen así. Es una de las pocas heroínas que no tiene
contraparte masculina. La Mujer Maravilla es la Princesa Diana de las
amazonas. Tomó su nombre de la diosa de la caza. Fue formada en
un principio por su madre en una figura de arcilla. Se le concedió vida
por la súplica de su madre (Hipólita) a la diosa Afrodita. Concebida de
este modo por gracia de una diosa, Diana creció siendo la más bella
amazona de la Isla Paraíso, con la sabiduría de Atenea, tan fuerte
como Hércules y más ágil y veloz que Hermes. Contrariando los
deseos de su madre, con un disfraz logró escabullirse y ganar la
competición para elegir la amazona más poderosa, la que debía partir
de la Isla para auxiliar a los mortales en su lucha contra el nazismo.
Sus poderes incluyen el poder de vuelo, y un nivel de supe fuerza
similar al de Superman, es vulnerable, pero es considerada del nivel
de diosa por el resto de los superhéroes, ya que no envejece, es
inmortal, posee una belleza extraordinaria y tiene la habilidad de
aparecer con el atuendo de acuerdo a las necesidades, desde
patinadora, nadadora, enfermera a vaquera.

character, and most writers describe her as such. She is one of the few
heroines who does not have a male counterpart. Wonder Woman is
Princess Diana of the Amazons. It took its name from the goddess of
hunting. She was originally shaped by her mother into a clay figure. He
was granted life by the plea of his mother (Hippolyta) to the goddess
Aphrodite. Conceived in this way by the grace of a goddess, Diana
grew up to be the most beautiful Amazon of the Paradise Island, with
the wisdom of Athena, as strong as Hercules and more agile and swift
than Hermes. Contrary to her mother's wishes, with a disguise she
managed to sneak away and win the competition to choose the most
powerful Amazon, the one who had to leave the Island to help mortals
in their fight against Nazism. Her powers include the power of flight,
and a level of super strength similar to that of Superman, she is
vulnerable, but is considered goddess level by the rest of the
superheroes, since she does not age, is immortal, possesses
extraordinary beauty and has the ability to appear with the outfit
according to the needs, from skater, swimmer, nurse to cowgirl.
