Dear Parents and Guardians,

Attached you will find a copy of a newsletter that has been given to your students in class. This
newsletter is focused on “Countering Hate Speech Online.” In my classroom this year your
students will be able to use technology within the classroom as well as at home. As educators
and parents, we want our students to be safe as well as respectful when it comes to the use of
technology. In the newsletter it provides examples of hate speech as well as teaching the students
on how to manage hate speech. Within the newsletter you will have tips that are encouraged for
your involvement as well that will help your students outside of school. Feel free to send me an
email if you have any questions, concerns, or want any other information on hate speech.

Queridos padres y guardianes,

Adjunto encontrará una copia de un boletín informativo que se les ha entregado a sus estudiantes
en clase. Este boletín se centra en "Contrarrestar el discurso de odio en línea". En mi salón de
clases este año, sus estudiantes podrán usar la tecnología dentro del salón de clases y en casa.
Como educadores y padres, queremos que nuestros estudiantes estén seguros y sean respetuosos
cuando se trata del uso de la tecnología. En el boletín, proporciona ejemplos de discurso de odio
y enseña a los estudiantes cómo manejar el discurso de odio. Dentro del boletín, tendrá consejos
que se recomiendan para su participación y que ayudarán a sus estudiantes fuera de la escuela.
No dude en enviarme un correo electrónico si tiene alguna pregunta, inquietud o si desea
cualquier otra información sobre el discurso de odio.
