El límite por la derecha significa que x se aproxima a
c por valores superiores a c. Este límite se denota
como:

El límite por la izquierda significa que x se aproxima
a c por valores inferiores a c. Este límite se denota
como:

Ejemplo 1: encontrar el límite de f ( x ) = 4 − x2
cuando x se aproxima a -2 por la derecha.

Existencia de un Límite
Si f es una función y c y L son números reales, el
límite de f(x) cuando x se aproxima a c es L si y sólo
sí:

CONCLUSIONES
• Que la continuidad de una función utiliza el
concepto de límite para su definición.
• Que la discontinuidad de una función se puede
clasificar.
• La gráfica de una función me puede ayudar a
reconocer la continuidad o no de esta en un
punto.
