El principito

El principito es una narración corta del escritor francés Antoine de

Saint-Exupéry. La historia se centra en un pequeño príncipe que
realiza una travesía por el universo. En este viaje descubre la extraña
forma en que los adultos ven la vida y comprende el valor del amor y
la amistad.
The Little Prince is a short story by the French writer Antoine de
Saint-Exupéry. The story focuses on a little prince who makes a
journey through the universe. On this trip, he discovers the strange
way adults see life and understands the value of love and friendship.
En la novela se narra, ilustrado con acuarelas del propio Saint-
Exupéry, el encuentro ficcional entre un piloto de guerra —
extraviado en el desierto del Sahara, donde su avión fue a estrellarse
a mediados de la Segunda Guerra Mundial— y un pequeño príncipe
proveniente de otro planeta.
The novel narrates, illustrated with Saint-Exupéry's own
watercolors, the fictional encounter between a war pilot —lost in the
Sahara desert, where his plane crashed in the middle of World War II
— and a little prince from from another planet.
Dicho encuentro permitirá indagar en la historia de los viajes del
Principito y su mirada poética y filosófica, que procura ver lo esencial
invisible a los ojos.

Prince's travels and his poetic and philosophical gaze, which seeks to

Trama de el principito
La historia del Principito es contada por él al aviador (y al
lector) mientras intenta reparar el motor de su avión para volver a
casa.
Este relato inicia en su planeta, donde el Principito cuidaba de sus
tres volcanes y su rosa, hasta un día en que se percató de que ésta
podría estar aprovechándose de sus cuidados sin profesarle
ningún amor.
Entonces decidió visitar los planetas cercanos, donde conoció a los
primeros adultos mayores del relato y uno de ellos –el geógrafo– le
recomendó visitar la Tierra.
Allí conoce al aviador, al zorro y a otras criaturas, entre ellas a
la serpiente amarilla que tiene el poder de “devolver a las personas
al lugar de donde vinieron”.
The story of the Little Prince is told by him to the aviator (and to the
reader) while trying to repair the engine of his plane to return
home.This story begins on his planet, where the Little Prince took
care of his three volcanoes and his rose, until one day when he
realized that it could be taking advantage of his care without
professing any love for him. He then decided to visit the nearby
planets, where he met the first older adults in the story and one of
them – the geographer – recommended that he visit Earth. There he
meets the aviator, the fox and other creatures, including the yellow
snake that has the power to "return people to where they came
from".
Moraleja de el principito
La lectura más usual de la novela es la de un libro infantil, debido al
modo en que está escrito y a las enseñanzas en forma de moraleja
que presenta la historia.
Muchas de ellas, sin embargo, constituyen verdades centrales de la
vida y de las relaciones humanas. Todo se ofrece al lector de manera
metafórica, con parábolas similares a las que emplea
el lenguaje bíblico.
La más central de estas enseñanzas está puesta por el autor en boca
del zorro, uno de los personajes más relevantes del relato: “Sólo se
puede ver bien con el corazón. Lo esencial es invisible a los ojos”.
The most usual reading of the novel is that of a children's book, due
to the way it is written and the moral teachings that the story
presents. Many of them, however, constitute central truths of life
and human relationships. Everything is offered to the reader in a
metaphorical way, with parables similar to those used in biblical
language. The most central of these teachings is put by the author in
the mouth of the fox, one of the most relevant characters in the
story: “You can only see well with your heart. The essential is
invisible to the eyes".

Pelicula
El principito es un filme francés2 de animación por computadora y
animación cuadro por cuadro, dirigido por Mark Osborne. Irena
Brignull escribió el guion basado en la novela de 1943 del mismo
nombre escrita por Antoine de Saint-Exupéry. Es la primera versión
animada del principito, el largometraje usa animación cuadro por
cuadro para el cuento y animación por computadora para la
narración adicional.
The Little Prince is a French computer-animated stop-motion film
directed by Mark Osborne. Irena Brignull wrote the screenplay based
on the 1943 novel of the same name written by Antoine de Saint-
Exupéry. The first animated version of the little prince, the film uses
stop-motion animation for the story and computer animation for
additional narration.
