PRESENTACIÓN
“The glossary presented here is entitled “A glossary based on terms most commonly used
by health professionals”, it is the result of hard work; here I suggest a group of brief and
synthetic concepts that, although well known or not, have sometimes been described in very
different ways. In the same way, I wanted to update some classic concepts since the
traditional definition has not been adapted to the methods and means that we handle today
in our career of Human Medicine. On the other hand, a glossary for us as medical students
and for all the people who need to know the meaning of a medical term is very important
since it contains explanations and general and abbreviated summaries of words that are not
so common.”
“The information for this glossary was obtained from reliable sources such as Oxford
dictionary, Wordreference dictionary, articles, etc. in order to give reliable and truthful
information about the medical terms I have mentioned.”
