MICROBIOLOGÍA
DETECCIÓN DE RNA CORONAVIRUS COVID 19
MÉTODO: extracción de ARN de la muestra nasofaríngea y/o orofaríngea. Amplificación y detección
cualitativa por RT-PCR (Real Time Polymerase Chain Reaction) de los siguientes genes: gen RdRP
(específico del virus SARS-CoV-2), gen N (específico del virus SARS-CoV-2), gen RP (gen humano, usado
control de extracción del ARN e inhibición de la RT-PCR) con el kit SARS-Cov-2 One-Step RT-PCR kit de
Nzytech.

RESULTADO: NEGATIVO.
En la muestra analizada no se detecta ARN del virus SARS-CoV-2.

LIMITACIONES: esta prueba no debe utilizarse como único criterio diagnóstico. Un valor de Ct alto (carga
viral baja) podría estar relacionado con el inicio o con la fase final de la enfermedad. El valor de Ct aislado
no aporta información sobre el curso de la enfermedad, por tanto, los resultados reflejados en este informe,
deben ser interpretados por un profesional médico en un contexto clínico. Los resultados de esta prueba
pueden verse afectados por diversos factores, como la toma de muestra en un momento no óptimo, una
carga viral cercana al límite de detección, entre otros. El valor de Ct obtenido no puede ser comparado
entre ensayos de distinto tipo.

METHOD: RNA extraction from the nasopharyngeal and / or oropharyngeal sample. Amplification and
qualitative detection by RT-PCR (Real Time Polymerase Chain Reaction) of the following genes: RdRP
gene (specific for virus SARS-CoV-2), N gene (specific for virus SARS-CoV-2), RP gene (human gene, used
as a control for RNA extraction and PCR inhibition) with the Nzytech SARS-Cov-2 One-Step RT-PCR kit.

RESULTS: NEGATIVE.
RNA of the SARS-CoV-2 virus was not detected in the analyzed sample.

LIMITATIONS: this test should not be used as unique diagnostic tool. High Ct value (low viral load) could be
related to the onset or end stage of the disease. The isolated Ct value does not provide information on the
course of the disease, therefore, the results reflected in this report must be interpreted by a medical
professional in a clinical context. The results of this test can be affected by various factors, such as sampling
at a non-optimal time, a viral load close to detection thereshold, among others. The Ct value obtained
cannot be compared between tests of different types.
