El edificio se articula alrededor de un núcleo central que sirve a los distintos niveles. Este
conjunto de hormigón armado garantiza la estabilidad global del edificio. El resto de la
estructura se sitúa en el perímetro mediante soportes triangulados de hormigón sobre
los que se apoyan las losas. El esquema estructural permite generar plantas libres de
soportes estructurales verticales. La ausencia de pilares intermedios o de vigas de cuelgue
en los techos garantiza una gran flexibilidad tanto en la implantación como en la readap-
tación de los espacios y las instalaciones.
De este modo, la generosidad se encuentra en todas partes, anticipándose y permitiendo
la evolución de las necesidades y usos futuros, y especialmente, permitiéndole al Centro
Cultural y Deportivo constituirse en una nueva polaridad.

The building is constructed around a core that serves the different floor levels.
This reinforced concrete assembly also ensures the building’s overall stability.
The rest of the structure is located on the periphery: in addition to the core,
the floors are supported by triangulated reinforced concrete bearers. This
structural layout makes it possible to generate veritable blank trays free of any
vertical structural carrier. The absence of intermediate columns or trusses
underneath the floors permits great flexibility in the implementation and rede-
velopment of the spaces and techniques. Thus, generosity is found everywhere,
anticipating and facilitating the evolution of needs and uses and, most partic-
ularly, allowing the Cultural and Sports Centre to become a new polarity.
