1. Write the meaning.

- Beam:
o English: Better known as metal or even wooden beams, they are used for
support or to prevent falls. "there are very fine oak beams in the oldest part of
the house"
o Spanish: Más conocido como vigas de metal o incluso de madera, se usan para
soporte o evitar caidas. "Hay vigas de roble muy finas en la parte más antigua
de la casa"

- Bricks :
o English: a small rectangular block typically made of fired or sun-dried clay,
used in building.
o Spanish: un pequeño bloque rectangular típicamente hecho de arcilla cocida o
secada al sol, que se usa en la construcción.

- Bucket:
o English: a cylindrical open container, typically made of metal or plastic, with a
handle, used to hold and carry liquids or other material.
o Spanish: Recipiente cilíndrico abierto, normalmente de metal o plástico, con
asa, que se utiliza para contener y transportar líquidos u otros materiales.
- Builder:
o English: a person who constructs something by putting parts or material
together over a period of time.
o Spanish: una persona que construye algo juntando partes o material durante un

- Crane :
o English: a large, tall machine used for moving heavy objects by suspending

- Digger:

o Spanish: Conocido tambien como excavadora, se utiliza para sacar tierra u otros

- Hard hat :
o English: Used in environments where danger is possible due to falling things or
materials, it protects the head and is widely used in construction and
engineering projects.
o Spanish: Usado en ambientes en donde es posible un peligro por caida de cosas
o materiales, protege la cabeza y es muy usado en proyectos de construcción e
ingenieria.
- Jacket:
o English: It can be used to protect from the cold, among others. It is a garment
that covers arms, torso and abdomen, the entire upper part including sometimes
the head
o Spanish: Puede usarse para proteger del frio, entre otros. Es una prenda que
cubre brazos, torso y abdomen, toda la parte superior incluyendo a veces la
cabeza

- Scaffolding:
o English: A temporary or movable platform for workers (such as bricklayers,
painters, or miners) to stand or sit on when working at a height above the floor
or ground.
o Spanish: Una plataforma temporal o móvil para que los trabajadores (como
albañiles, pintores o mineros) se pongan de pie o se sienten cuando trabajan a

- Pick up :

- Put :

o Spanish: moverse o colocarse en una posición determinada.

- Put on:
o English: colocar algun accesorio u otra cosa (alguna prenda, pieza de joyería,

o Spanish: place an accessory or something else (some garment, piece of jewelry,
etc.) on a part of the body.

- Raise:
o English: lift or move to a higher position or level.
o Spanish: levantar o mover a una posición o nivel más alto.

- Take off:
o English: Peculiar of an airplane, bird, or object, animal or thing that has the
ability to fly.
o Spanish: Peculiar de un avión, ave, u objeto, animal o cosa que tenga la
habilidad de volar.
