Conditionals

El Diccionario de la Real Academia de la Lengua Española define el condicional como lo

siguiente:

“En la gramática tradicional es el que expresa la acción del verbo como posible;
corresponde al actual tiempo condicional”.

De ese modo, en inglés, existen varios condicionales, entre ellos el condicional cero y el
condicional uno.

El primero y más sencillo, el Condicional cero se refiere a una ineludible situación

resultado de una condición. Por ejemplo:

If you heat ice it melts (Si calientas el hielo se derrite)

Si calientas el hielo es inevitable que se derrita.

If people don’t eat they get hungry (Si la gente no come, se pone hambrienta)

Mirar, más detalladamente, la estructura, en el siguiente cuadro:

En primer lugar está el “if” (si), luego una condición que, generalmente, va en presente
simple y por último el resultado de esa condición.
If I miss the bus for work. I arrive late at work (If/ condición / Resultado)

(Si pierdo el bus para el trabajo. Llego tarde al trabajo)
