MACCHU PICCHU

The mysterious city of the Incas, is located 80 kilometers from the city of Cuzco. It is surprising
for its landscape, coming to be considered a great masterpiece of architecture and
engineering. This majestic citadel is considered one of the 7 wonders of the modern world. It is
considered that formerly this citadel was used by the Incas to carry out their religious
ceremonies, worshiping the Sun God. There are various sanctuaries that prove this. Macchu
Picchu is considered the center of the entire Inca empire, it is said that this place was inhabited
by the Inca elite and the nobility.

In 1954 Paramount Pictures filmed "The Secret of the Incas" in different locations in Cusco and
Machu Picchu, it was the first time that a Hollywood studio filmed inside the Inca City. In 1972,
Machu Picchu appears again in the cinema, this time in a film called Aguirre, the Wrath of God,
with scenes filmed from Huayna Picchu. Likewise, there are many fascinating documentaries
created by specialized channels, such as the Discovery Channel National Geographic, History
Channel and NOTV produced in Machu Picchu.

La ciudad misteriosa de los incas, se encuentra ubicada a 80 kilómetros de la ciudad del cuzco.
Sorprende por su paisaje, llegando a ser considerada una gran obra maestra de la arquitectura
e ingeniería. Esta majestuosa ciudadela está considerada como una de las 7 maravillas del
mundo Moderno. Se considera que antiguamente esta ciudadela era utilizada por los incas
para realizar sus ceremonias religiosas, adorando al Dios Sol. Existen diversos santuarios que
prueban ello. Se considera a Macchu Picchu como el centro de todo el imperio Inca, se dice
que ese lugar era habitado por la elite Inca y la nobleza.

En 1954 Paramount Pictures filma “el Secreto de los Incas” en distintas locaciones de Cusco y
Machu Picchu, fue la primera vez que un estudio de Hollywood, filmaba dentro de la Ciudad
Inca. En 1972, Machu Picchu aparece nuevamente en el cine, esta vez en una película llamada
Aguirre, la Ira de Dios, con escenas filmadas desde el Huayna Picchu. Así mismo se tienen
muchos fascinantes documentales creados por canales especializados, como Discovery
Channel National Geographic, History Channel y NOTV producidos en Machu Picchu.
