La Sociedad Multiétnica y Pluricultural

La Sociedad Multiétnica: es aquella sociedad que se encuentra integrada por grupos étnicos,
sin importar cultura, raza e historia, es por ello que las ciudades son consideradas sociedades
multiétnicas e incluso aquellas ciudades donde no existe el respeto y la tolerancia hacia las etnias.

Las sociedades multiétnicas han existido en diversos contextos históricos como: La Antigua China,
El Imperio Romano o El Imperio Húngaro. Más reciente los Estados Unidos, Yugoslavia y
Checoslovaquia, para finalizar La Unión Europea, es otro lugar donde se desarrolla dicha sociedad.

La Sociedad Pluricultural: Es aquella sociedad, donde básicamente entran en contacto las

distintas formas de actuar, sentir y pensar. También es importante destacar que es aquí donde se
realiza el intercambio de culturas, produciendo así el mestizaje cultural, teniendo en cuenta que los
contactos culturales pueden tener características muy diversas.
Es por ello que se habla de que Venezuela es un país multiétnico y pluricultural, entre las etnias que
existen en Venezuela están:

LOS WARAOS: Son aquellos indígenas que viven en el Delta del Orinoco, en las zonas
pantanosas de Monagas, Sucre y Delta Macuro.

LOS PIAROAS: Se encuentran ubicados en el Edo. Amazonas.

LOS WAYU: Está etnia se encuentra ubicada en dos partes una en Venezuela y la otra parte en
Colombia, para ser más exacto en la Guajira Edo. Zulia.

The Multiethnic and Pluricultural Society
The Multi-Ethnic Society: is that society that is made up of ethnic groups, regardless of
culture, race and history, that is why cities are considered multi-ethnic societies and even those
cities where there is no respect and tolerance towards ethnic groups.
Multiethnic societies have existed in various historical contexts such as: Ancient China, The Roman
Empire or The Hungarian Empire. More recently the United States, Yugoslavia and
Czechoslovakia, to finish The European Union, is another place where this society develops.

The Pluricultural Society: It is that society, where basically the different ways of acting,
feeling and thinking come into contact. It is also important to note that this is where the exchange of
cultures takes place, thus producing cultural miscegenation, taking into account that cultural
contacts can have very different characteristics.
That is why it is said that Venezuela is a multiethnic and multicultural country, among the ethnic
groups that exist in Venezuela are:
