Truquitos para entrevistas de

trabajo en inglés
Antes de la entrevista, rodéate al máximo de inglés
¡Algo que me ha ayudado siempre mucho¡ Asegúrate de que
antes de la entrevista te rodeas al máximo de contenido en
inglés: escucha podcasts en inglés, la radio, música en inglés (y
cántala) y vídeos de YouTube. Esto hará que para el día de la
entrevista hayas hecho más el oído y te pille menos por
sorpresa la situación.

 Practica, practica y practica
Antes de la entrevista, practica delante del espejo y grábate.
Parece una tontería, pero es una manera genial de soltarte y
de tener una idea algo más clara de cómo será la situación
de verdad.

Internet, tu mejor aliado

En plataformas como YouTube hay muchos vídeos sobre
ejemplos de entrevistas de trabajo en inglés. Prueba a
buscar: job interview in English y verás la de ejemplos que
puedes encontrar. ¡Así sabes lo que esperarte!

¿Y si no entiendo una pregunta?

¡Que no cunda el pánico! No entender del todo lo que nos
preguntan es algo supernormal. ¿Y sabes qué? ¡No pasa
nada! Hasta en español nos ha pasado.

Prueba a preguntar con toda naturalidad: Sorry, what was

the last part? o I didn’t quite catch that, can you ask
again, please? ¡Y listo! Que no te dé vergüenza. El hecho de
que puedas preguntar algo en inglés con naturalidad dice
mucho de ti.

Do some research! Conoce la empresa, conoce sus valores,
lo que es importante para ella. En la web también verás
muchas palabras clave en inglés relacionadas con el ámbito
profesional de la empresa.

When you don't understand the question:

- I’m sorry could you please repeat that?
- I didn’t quite catch that, can you ask again, please?
- Excuse me, I’m not sure I understood entirely.
- Sorry, would you mind repeating that last question
please?
- Sorry, what was the last part?
