as instruments: the Test of Video Game Dependence by the author Choliz and Marco
(2011) with the adaptation of Salas, E., Merino , C., Chóliz, M., & Marco, C. (2017)
and the social skills checklist by the author Choliz and Marco (2011) with the
adaptation: Salas, E., Merino, C., Chóliz, M ., & Marco, C. (2017). The results revealed
that there is no significant correlation between the use of video games and social skills,
the dimension of abstinence from video games in women is higher than in men and the
dimension "abuse and tolerance" in video games is lower In men, on the other hand,
women have a higher degree with the dimension "problems associated" with the use of
video games.
Therefore, it is concluded that while there are low levels of video game use, it will
influence social skills less; In this sense, it is recommended to improve the research
methods based on the use of other validated psychological instruments or tests and with
acceptable levels of reliability, which allow higher levels of confidence in the results.
