Grease a 9-inch x 9-inch pan with butter. Dust with flour and shake out excess. Preheat the oven
to 350 degrees.
In a medium sized, microwave safe bowl, melt together the butter and chocolate in 30 second
increments. Once melted, set aside to cool.
In another bowl, mix together the vanilla, sugar and mashed bananas with a fork. Add the
beaten eggs and mix until well combined.
In the same bowl, add the flour and salt. Stir to combine.
Using a spatula, fold in 2/3 of the cooled chocolate mixture until it is just incorporated. Spread
the batter evenly in the prepared baking pan and drizzle the remainder of the chocolate mixture
on top. Using a knife, draw lines in the batter to create streaks of chocolate.
Bake for 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
{ Helpful Notes }
- I used the semi-sweet chocolate chips from Trader Joe’s.
- Both the whole wheat pastry flour and the cane sugar came from Whole Food’s.
