1. Play: Como regla general, este verbo se usa cuando nos referimos a deportes de equipo que se
juegan con una pelota (también se usa con el golf aunque no es un deporte de equipo) como el
fútbol, el baloncesto, el voleibol y el tenis, y otros deportes como el ajedrez y los dardos.
2. Go: Este verbo se usa con deportes que tienen la terminación “-ing” como “skiing” (esquí) y
“snowboarding” (snowboard). También se usa con “fishing” (pesca) y “hunting” (caza).
También es posible decir “go to aerobics” (hacer aerobics), “go to karate” (practicar kárate),
“go to judo” (practicar judo), “go to gymnastics” (practicar gimnasia).
3. Do: El verbo “do” se usa para hablar de deportes individuales (archery, athletics, weightlifting),
una actividad que consiste en un grupo de ejercicios (yoga, aerobics, stretches) o también para
las artes marciales (judo, karate).
