Dear Parents and Guardians, January 1, 2021

Our school has implemented a Bring Your Own Device policy (BYOD). With the

increased usage of technology, our classroom will have lessons in Online Safety and ways in

which to effectively use the internet inside and outside of our classroom. Attached to this letter is

a copy of an infographic that has been given to your students about their “Online Community.”

The students will be using tablets, computers, Phones, and iPad’s to complete educational

activities and collaborative assignments . As educators and parents, we want to ensure our

students are using the technology responsibly and safely. In the students’ online communities,

they are expected to inform an adult before using the internet, respect each other and the device

and report any misuse of the technology to a trusted teacher and/or adult. Within the infographic

are websites to help your student better understand their community and tips on how to stay safe

while using the Internet. Teachers and parents/guardians work as a team to keep our students safe

and educated!

 Nuestra escuela ha implementado una política de Traiga su propio dispositivo (BYOD).

Con el mayor uso de la tecnología, nuestro salón de clases tendrá lecciones sobre seguridad en

línea y formas de utilizar Internet de manera eficaz dentro y fuera de nuestro salón de clases. Se

adjunta a esta carta una copia de una infografía que se les entregó a sus estudiantes sobre su

"Comunidad en línea". Los estudiantes usarán tabletas, computadoras, teléfonos y iPad para

completar actividades educativas y tareas colaborativas. Como educadores y padres, queremos

asegurarnos de que nuestros estudiantes estén usando la tecnología de manera responsable y

segura. En las comunidades en línea de los estudiantes, se espera que informen a un adulto antes

de usar Internet, se respeten entre sí y con el dispositivo y denuncien cualquier uso indebido de la

tecnología a un maestro o adulto de confianza. Dentro de la infografía hay sitios web para ayudar

a su estudiante a comprender mejor su comunidad y consejos sobre cómo mantenerse seguro

mientras usa Internet. ¡Los maestros y los padres / tutores trabajan en equipo para mantener a

nuestros estudiantes seguros y educados!
