RESUMEN
ABSTRACT
Institutions of higher education play a major role in the changes manifested in the
country; whereby the university education sector should develop appropriate
responses to environmental demands, in this task the human talent is a key pillar
of support for the fulfillment of these requirements. One could then say that work
motivation is the amount of effort a person invests to achieve a goal or perform a
task. Hence its importance since diagnosis reveals all the variables that hinder the
achievement of goals of an activity, so this information is useful for improving the
performance of people, leading to increase the commitment of both parties to
contribute improve the organizational climate. In this sense, motivation is an
incident in teacher performance, without the motivation factor would be difficult to
cope effectively see a teacher. For this, the university teacher must be convinced
of the key role it has to play in teaching, research and extension in modern times
on the strategic importance for the future of their country, the institution it serves.
