Objetivo de aprendizaje: Comprender la diferencia , entre el THERE WAS AND THERE WERE,
THERE IS AND THERE ARE. Pasado y presente.
Identificar objetos unitarios y objetos colectivos.
Diferenciar partículas de cantidad.

Introducción: Querido alumno, en estos tiempos difíciles, se me hace triste y me duele tener que
escribirte palabras de ánimo y aliento entre mensajes y frases. Sabes, desearía estar ahí junto a
tu lado, en nuestro colegio, en nuestras aulas, compartiendo risas, sueños, travesuras e
impartiéndote mis conocimientos y dándote mi apoyo incondicional, para que seas mejor
persona. Recuerda que cuando algo malo te suceda, tienes 3 opciones: dejar que te marque,
dejar que te destruya o dejar que te fortalezca.
Si algún día llegas a caer no te preocupes has como el sol, que cada tarde cae, pero cada mañana
se levanta con más resplandor y energía. No te rindas, nunca es buen momento para hacerlo,
luchemos juntos y cumplamos con toda las medidas de bioseguridad y juntos venceremos.

A continuación encontraras una breve explicación del tema there was and there were en sus cuatro
formas: Afirmativa, interrogativa, negativa e interrogo negativa.

USO DE LAS EXPRESIONES: THERE WAS AND THERE WERE.

THERE WAS: Esta expresión se utiliza para hablar del pasado. Significa HUBO O HABIA.
Se utiliza delante de los sustantivos en singular, sirve para el masculino como para el femenino.

Ejemplos en forma afirmativa: Last night there was a concert. (Anoche hubo un concierto),
There was a thief in my house. (Había un ladrón en mi casa

INTERROGATIVE FORM: La forma interrogativa queda de la siguiente manera:

Was there a concert last night? Hubo un concierto anoche?

Was there a thief in my house?

NEGATIVE FORM: Last night there was not a concert: Anoche no hubo un concierto.

There was not a thief in my house, o in my house there wasn´t a thief.

INTERROGO NEGATIVE FORM: Wasn´t there a concert last night? No hubo un concierto
anoche?. Was not there a thief in my house?

THERE WERE: Se utiliza delante de los sustantivos en plural, sirve para el masculino como
para el femenino. Significa hubo o había. Ejemplos: In my house there were two tables:
en mi casa habia 2 mesas.
