was/were

Hoy en día, Mi primer artículo hablando sobre There is/there are There
was y There were
Yo lo repase un poco, y luego veremos cómo hacer lo mismo en
pasado con “there was” y “there were”.
Usar la palabra “there” con una forma del verbo “to be” se hace en
inglés para hablar de la existencia de algo.
Es equivalente al verbo “haber” en español, y la única diferencia es
entre singular (o incontable) y plural.

There is = hay (singular o incontable).

There are = hay (plural).
Así podríamos hacer un par de ejemplos…

There is a gas station just outside of town.

There’s a hole in my sock.
There are three things you need to know.
There’re a few beers in the fridge.
Fíjate que al hablar, usamos mucho las formas cortas “there’s” y
“there’re”. Y que la única diferencia es que there is habla de algo en
singular (una cosa) y there are habla de dos cosas o más.
