El corte basal de las estacas fue oblicuo o en bisel, mientras que el corte
superior fue recto, ambos efectuados en entrenudos. El corte superior, al igual
que los efectuados en las hojas, fueron sellados con látex fungicida (Poda látex
+ Euparen 2 giL).

DISCUSION
Por otra parte, no deja de ser interesante el que la procedencia King Island
se presente en los primeros lugares en cuanto a crecimiento medio en
numerosos ensayos realizados por el Instituto Forestal (Infante y Prado, 1989)
y, si bien esta conducta no es constante en todas las situaciones (Infante y
Prado, 1991), se ve confirmada por estudios realizados en Tasmania, donde
esta procedencia, junto a Flinders Island, son las primeras en cuanto a
producción volumétrica (Orme, slf).
