El técnico electrónico de Caterpillar (ET) se utiliza para cargar los archivos de ajuste del inyector
en el módulo de control electrónico (ECM).

Los archivos de ajuste del inyector deben cargarse en el ECM si ocurre alguna de las siguientes
condiciones:

Se reemplaza un inyector.

Se reemplaza el ECM.

"Injector Trim" se muestra debajo de un código de diagnóstico 268-02 en Cat ET.

Los inyectores se intercambian entre cilindros.

Cambio de inyectores

El cambio de inyectores puede ayudar a determinar si un problema de combustión está en el

inyector o en el cilindro. Si dos inyectores que están instalados actualmente en el motor se
intercambian entre cilindros, también se pueden intercambiar los archivos de ajuste de los
inyectores. Presione el botón "Exchange" en la parte inferior de la pantalla "Injector Trim
Calibration" en Cat ET. Seleccione los dos inyectores que se intercambiarán y presione el botón
"Aceptar". La información sobre los inyectores que se cambiaron aumentará en uno.

Nota: El número de serie del inyector y el código de confirmación del inyector se

encuentran en el inyector. Cat ET puede requerir el ingreso de un código de confirmación
del inyector durante este proceso. Cat ET le pedirá el código, si es necesario.

1. Registre el número de serie del inyector y el código de confirmación del inyector para cada
inyector.

2. Click on "Service Software Files" in SIS Web.

3. Enter the serial number for the injector in the search field.

4. Download the injector trim file to the PC. Repeat this procedure for each injector, as
required.

5. Connect Cat ET to the service tool connector. Refer to electronic troubleshooting

Troubleshooting, "Electronic Service Tools".

6. Select the following menu options on Cat ET:

Service

Calibrations

Injector Trim Calibration

7. Select the appropriate cylinder.

8. Click on the "Change" button.

9. Select the appropriate injector trim file from the PC.

10. Click on the "Open" button.

11. If you are prompted by Cat ET enter the injector confirmation code into the field.

12. Click on the "OK" button.

The injector trim file is loaded into the ECM.

13. Repeat the procedure for each cylinder, as required.
