even situations. There are many kinds of adjectives and many ways to
organize them depending on the characteristics of each word,
meaning and use.

One-syllable adjectives These adjectives are short words

that in English are considered to
be one syllable only, it is not
important how many letters there
are in any word, but the
pronunciation, which is important
to know in English language.

Two or more syllables adjectives

These adjectives are usually long
words which are divided in two or
more syllables in the
pronunciation.
Adjectives ending in -y
These adjectives are words that
can have one or more syllables
but the important characteristic is
that they end in a consonant and
-y. It is important because the -y
is removed and changed for
certain situations, like in
comparative and superlative
forms
