Diet vs Exercise
By Aletta Smith

Over the years multiple studies have been conducted to deter-

mine which is better for weight loss and our overall health, “diet
or exercise?”
These studies have proven over and over again that diet alone
is possible for weight loss. However, exercise is a very impor-
tant component for improving your overall health. Some of the
common benefits of exercise include; better sleep, burning fat,
reducing your stress levels and lowering your cholesterol. Basic
exercise like; brisk walking, aerobics and even swimming can all
make a difference.
A healthy diet, which includes; lots of fresh vegetables, fresh
fruits, proteins and whole grain carbs, are essential components
of a healthy balanced diet. Many experts believe that to lose wei-
ght is 75% diet and 25% exercise. Therefore, it is important to
note that cutting the amount of calories you consume is more
effective than the number of hours you spend in the gym. There
is no quick fix to weight loss. Both, a healthy diet and exercise
are important, however, a healthy balanced diet is the most im-
portant component of the two.
