J. R. R. Tolkien - Me Siento Junto Al Fuego (Versión Del Minotauro)
J. R. R. Tolkien - Me Siento Junto Al Fuego (Versión Del Minotauro)
"
('I sit beside the fire...')
de
J.J.R. TOLKIEN
About the Songs and Poems..., comenta
I sit beside the fire and think Me siento junto al fuego y pienso
of all that I have seen, en todo lo que he visto,
of meadow-flowers and butterflies en flores silvestres y mariposas
in summers that have been; de veranos que han sido.
I sit beside the fire and think Me siento junto al fuego y pienso
of how the world will be cómo el mundo será,
when winter comes without a spring cuando llegue el invierno sin una primavera
that I shall ever see. que yo pueda mirar.
For still there are so many things Pues hay todavía tantas cosas
that I have never seen: que yo jamás he visto:
in every wood and every spring en todos los bosques y primaveras
there is a different green. hay un verde distinto.
I sit beside the fire and think Me siento junto al fuego y pienso
of people long ago, en las gentes de ayer,
and people who will see a world y en gentes que verán un mundo
that I shall never know. que no conoceré.
But all the while I sit and think Y mientras estoy aquí sentado
of times there were before, pensando en otras épocas
I listen for returning feet espero oír unos pasos que vuelven
and voices at the door. y voces en la puerta.
