oraciones en el presente simple.

 B. Grammar:

En esta e-class comenzaremos a estudiar el tiempo verbal presente simple, que se usa para hablar
de acciones que son verdaderas en el presente o que ocurren habitualmente, pero no para
expresar acciones que están ocurriendo en este momento necesariamente. Por ejemplo, las
siguientes oraciones están en el presente simple:

Yo trabajo como vendedora en una tienda. > I work as a salesperson in a shop.

Marcos va a trabajar en bicicleta todos los días. > Marcos goes to work by bicycle every day.
Lisa trabaja en una oficina de contabilidad. > Lisa works in an accountability firm.
El Café de la esquina atiende de 10 a 22 horas. > The Café opens from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.

La estructura de las oraciones afirmativas, negativas e interrogativas en el presente simple es la

siguiente:

Utiliza el recuadro anterior como referencia y contesta las siguientes preguntas:

1. En las oraciones afirmativas, ¿Existen casos en que se modifique el verbo? ¿Con qué
sujetos ocurre esa modificación?

2. En las oraciones negativas, ¿Qué elemento se introduce antes del verbo? ¿Es igual para
todos los sujetos?

3. En las oraciones interrogativas, ¿Qué elemento se introduce antes del sujeto? ¿Es igual
para todos los sujetos?
En esta guía nos enfocaremos en las oraciones cuyo sujeto sea I o you. Como pudiste notar en el
recuadro anterior, al ser I o You el sujeto de la oración, hay que tener en cuenta las siguientes
reglas:
a. En las afirmaciones, usaremos el sujeto + el verbo en su forma original, por ejemplo:

subject verb complement

I work for a bank.

You study at college.

b. En las negaciones utilizaremos el auxiliar don’t antes del verbo, por ejemplo:

subject don’t verb complement

I don’t work for a restaurant.

You don’t study at high school anymore.

c. En las preguntas incluiremos el auxiliar do antes del sujeto, por ejemplo:
