Uso de of + pronombre posesivo.

Es un amigo mío.

I’ve got a few books of yours.

Tengo algunos de tus libros.

Se utiliza el pronombre reflexivo

cuando el complemento y el sujeto son la misma persona, el mismo animal o la misma cosa.

I’m looking at myself in the mirror.

Me miro en el espejo.

The machine switches itself on and off.

La máquina se enciende y se apaga sola.

Se utiliza el pronombre enfático

para insistir sobre un nombre o un grupo nominal.

I can do it myself.
Puedo hacerlo yo mismo.

The Queen herself visited our town two years ago.

La reina en persona visitó nuestra ciudad hace dos años.

Los pronombres recíprocos each other/one another:

We see each other at the office every day.
Nos vemos en la oficina todos los días.

They don’t like one another.

No se quieren – los unos a los otros.

Uso de los adjetivos

Look at this box/these boxes here.

Mira esta caja / estas cajas.

That box/those boxes over there are too big.

Esa caja / aquellas cajas son demasiado grandes.

One y ones:
Estos sustitutos de los nombres permiten evitar repeticiones.

Do you want a big box or a small one? The small ones are cheaper.
¿Quieres una caja grande o pequeña? Las pequeñas son más baratas.
