UNIT 3
What makes a good friend?

Vocabulary activities
To start we will tackle the new vocabulary about physical description and
personalities.

1. First go to the student's book on page 42, and 43, exercises 1 and 4 in
your notebook. For the development of these points you must have on
hand your headphones and the book CD.
2. In your notebook, write the vocabulary words from unit 3 as a glossary
list with the Spanish meanings.
3. Then in your notebook make a write a physical description of a famous
person you like and paste a picture of that person.
4. Do not forget to take photos as evidence of your performance and
development of each activity.

Grammar activities
Guys here you are going to emphasize learning through virtual tutorials to
reinforce and deepen the content.

1. Look at the following picture as a reference to the present tense, Print

1. Now go to the student´s book and develop pages 44 and 45, where you
will put into practice the correct use of the present simple and continuous

mechanize what you have learned. In your notebook choose 5 verbs from
the video and make different sentences in present simple in positive,
negative and questions, giving short answers and 5 sentences in present
continuous in positive, negative and questions with Wh Words.

1. Look at the explanation photo to know the correct use of count and
noncount nouns and write out the explanation chart in your notebook.

between counts and non-count nouns.

3. In your notebook, choose ten count nouns and ten non count nouns
and classify them making a chart with two columns one of count and
the other of noncount nouns.

1. Do the exercises on your student´s book page 46 and 47, use your
headphones and the book´s cd, then go to workbook page 137. Don´t
forget take photos to your activities done.

Writing
1. First, do the introduction to the writing exercise to familiarize yourself with
the vocabulary in your student's book page 48 and 49.
2. Second, write in your notebook answering the following questions and use
images or cutouts to energize the activity.

- What makes a good friend?


- What can you learn by studying in another country?
- Do you need to be really good at a hobby to enjoy it?
- How do people feel when you use negative words to describe them?
Speaking - Project Unit 3
 First of all answer the activities of the student´s book pages 50 and 51
 Make a self-care kit, take the example to do it on page 51, from student´s
book.
 Use your creativity and imagination for the design and structure of the kit
box.

Present your project by making a video at home, explaining your project.


Take into account the following questions in the video.
-How did you feel doing it?
-What materials did you use?
-Explain the steps of the how you did your the self care kit?
-Say in your own words what are you going to use it for? or which is its
usefulness?
You can use your cell phone to record and save the video
Take into account the guidelines required for the development of the project in the following
evaluation rubric.
