UNIT 3
Where are you from?

Vocabulary activities

To start we will tackle the new vocabulary about landmarks, countries and
nationalities

1. First go to the student's book on page 42, and do exercises 1, 2, 3 and 4.


For the development of these points you must have on hand your
headphones and the book CD.
2. In your notebook, write eight nationality words in the alphabetical order.
3. Do not forget to take photos as evidence of their performance and
development of each activity.

Grammar activities

Guys here you are going to emphasize learning through virtual tutorials to
reinforce and deepen the content.

1. Look at the following picture as a reference to the verb to be, Print and
paste in your notebook or write the explanation by hand.

1. Now go to the student´s book and develop pages 44 and 45, where you
will put into practice the contractions and the correct use of the verb to
be.
2. Then put your knowledge into practice by solving the exercises in the
workbook page135.
3. Finally go to the following link and watch the video tutorial to
mechanize what you have learned. choose 5 sentences from the video
and in your notebook make them positive, negative and questions, giving
short answers

Modal verb CAN

Look at this photo to remember the steps to build sentences in positive,


negative and questions of modal verb can. Print and paste in your notebook
or write the explanation by hand.

1. After analyzing the photo of the modal can, open your workbook and
complete the exercises on page 136.
2. In your notebook make 5 drawings of things you can do and write the
sentence with the modal verb can to each one. Then 5 drawings on
abilities you can't do and also write the corresponding sentence. You can
also cut out pictures from magazines or books instead of drawing.

Counts – Non counts


1. Look at the explanation photo to know the correct use of count and
noncount nouns and write out the explanation chart in your notebook.
2. Carefully watch the following video tutorial to clarify the differences
between counts and non-count nouns.

3. In your notebook, choose ten count nouns and ten non count nouns
and classify them making a chart with two columns one of count and
the other of noncount nouns.

1. First, do the introduction to the writing exercise to familiarize yourself with
the vocabulary in your student's book page 48 and 49.
2. Second, write in your notebook answering the following question and use
images or cutouts to energize the activity.

 First of all answer the activities of the student´s book pages 50 and 51

 Choose a country and make a Country Profile in a half sheet of cardboard


similar to the student´s book on page 51.

 Use your creativity and imagination for the design and structure of the
poster.

Presenting a city or town by making a short video at home where you


explain your project. You can use your cell phone to record and save the
video
