Olga Tokarczuk
Olga Tokarczuk, considered the best talented novelist of her generation in Poland, she
leads the reader to the search for truth through multicolored universes, she delicately
mixes reality and metaphysics in her writings.
She is politically identified with the left, the ecology t and the vegetarianism, she is a
writer 57 year-old, whose head is always covered with dreadlocks, she does not
hesitate to criticize the policy of the current conservative nationalist government of
Law and Justice ( PiS).
She was born on January 29th , 1962 in a family of teachers in Sulechow, in western
Poland; She is the author of a dozen books.
She has a degree in psychology from the University of Warsaw, she has a special
predilection for the works of Karl Jung. For a while she worked as a psychotherapist in
Walbrzych (southwest) while she trying to write
