Las Siete Maravillas Del Mundo
Las siete nuevas maravillas del mundo fueron escogidas mediante un sistema de
votación en el cual se realizaron más de cien millones de votos, que se realizaban
mediante internet, teléfono, y mensaje de texto, las personas podían votar más de
una vez.
Por otro lado cabe resaltar que es una de las atracciones turísticas más
importantes del mundo y que está muy ligada a la iglesia católica, ya que el papa
termina su viacrucis en el coliseo cada viernes santo.
Sin duda alguna esta maravilla del mundo termino en la lista final por su inmensa
historia y por su cercanía con la iglesia católica.
Esta hermosa historia ha sido descrita por varios personas celebres desde la
antigüedad hasta la actualidad por ser la obra mas importante de la cultura
romana.
The seven new wonders of the world were chosen through a voting
system in which more than one hundred million votes were cast, which
were made through the Internet, telephone, and text message, people
could vote more than once.
The program where they were chosen and their voting were broadcast
from Lisboa, and watched on more than 160 television channels in
more than 170 countries.
This was declared a World Heritage Site in 1980 by Unesco and one of
the New Seven Wonders of the Modern World on July 7, 2007.
The materials used in the construction of this are blocks of travertine,
concrete, wood, brick, stone (tufa), marble and stucco. In antiquity it
had a capacity for some sisty five thousam spectators, with eighty tiers
of bleachers. Those who were close to the arena were the Emperor
and the senators, and as they ascended, the lower status of society
were placed. Gladiator fights and public shows took place in the
Colosseum.
the Coliseum has always been seen as an icon of Imperial Rome and
is one of the best preserved examples of Roman architecture.
On the other hand, it is worth noting that it is one of the most important
tourist attractions in the world and that it is closely linked to the
Catholic Church, since the Pope ends his Stations of Cross at the
Coliseum every Holy Friday.
Without a doubt, this wonder of the world ended up in the final list
because of its immense history and its proximity to the Catholic
Church.
In the coliseum they were placed in hierarchical order, first the senators
and politicians, then magistrates and priests, then the upper economic
class and so on.
I hope in god in one moment of my life to know the Roman
