1. COURSE ALIGNMENT

This course is partially aligned to Unit Standard 120330; Conduct a


continuous risk assessment in a workplace.

Level : 2
Credits : 0

Programme duration

Classroom activities 1 day ± 8 hours.

A certificate of attendance will be issued on completion of the course.


There is no written test or practical assessment.

THE PROGRAMME IS BASED ON BASIC ADULT TRAINING TECHNIQUES.

2. PREREQUISITE

The learner wanting to register for this course must produce the evidence
of attending one of the following courses or equivalent thereof to WorkMed:
• Basic SHE Representative Course.
• Advance SHE Representative Course.
• OHS Act Overview.
• Or a course on the Occupational Health and Safety Act.

3. TARGET GROUP
Risk assessors, Supervisors, Health and Safety Representatives, Health
and Safety Committee members and General Management. All personal in
charge that may from time-to-time identify hazards in the workplace.

4. AIM

The aim of this course is to provide delegates with specific knowledge of


how to identify hazards in a specific workplace or area thereof.

Delegates will gain hands-on knowledge of a step-by-step system to


effectively and successfully identify risks, hazards and dangers in any given
area.

The course is designed that participants will be able to demonstrate
knowledge and understanding of identifying hazards as well as
responsibilities in accordance with the OHS Act, Act 85 of 1993 as
amended.

7. VENUE

The course will take place at a WorkMed facility or any venue arranged by
the client at their cost if applicable.

8. COST
Cost per person excluding VAT. Available on request.

The above fees include expert tuition, and all course material.

The minimum group of students allowed per course will be 10, with a
maximum of 24 students.

Smaller groups will be accommodated at a group fee.

9. TERMS AND CONDITIONS

A signed training order form is required prior to the commencement date of


the course being booked.

A minimum of two weeks notice is required prior to the commencement of


the course. Should a course be cancelled later than 5 (Five) working days
prior to commencement thereof, a fee of 50% of the legal calculated course
fee will be charged.

A minimum of 10 candidates are required, should you require WorkMed to


present the course at your premises. (Should you require WorkMed to train
less than the stipulated quantity the account will be equal to that of the
minimum requirement as stated on the quote.)

10. CONCLUSION
