Qu decir ANTES y DESPUS de una reunin de trabajo en ingls

Muchas veces, la parte ms difcil de una reunin de trabajo, no es la reunin en s, sino los momentos anteriores y posteriores a la reunin, en
los que necesitas socializar.

En la reunin misma, seguramente se hablar de temas que t ya conoces por tu trabajo, y aunque quiz no puedas participar como lo haras en
espaol, si podrs seguirlos.

Aunque tu nivel de ingls no sea muy alto, las conversaciones previas y posteriores a una reunin en ingls no tienen porqu ser un problema si
te preparas bien. Este post te ayudar a hacerlo.

Qu hacer ANTES de la reunin

Para superar con xito la prueba, debes hacer 3 cosas:

1. Hacer una repaso mental de los lugares donde estars antes y despus de la reunin. Por ejemplo, antes de la reunin est previsto que tomis
un caf en una sala de un hotel, o debes encontrarte en el aeropuerto con otros colegas venidos de otros pases, o te encontrars con una persona
que te llevar al hotel. Esto es importante porque en cada una de estas situaciones habr un vocabulario especfico que aprender y practicar.
2. Imaginarte los posibles dilogos y aprenderte frases hechas que puedas decir en cada uno de estos lugares. (Ms abajo vers una serie de frases
hechas para aprender).
3. Escuchar audios con el acento, o acentos que vayas a escuchar en la reunin para ir haciendo odo. Esto es muy importante porque puedes
aprenderte frases, pero si tu listening es muy deficiente, no entenders lo que te preguntan ni lo que te contestan. Por eso, te sugiero, que vayas
a Youtube, por ejemplo, y busques audios con acentos nativos -que son los ms difciles de entender. Escucha solo unos segundos -10 segundos,
por ejemplo.- sin transcripcin primero, para el audio, y vuelve a escuchar, intentado reconocer los sonidos. Repite la operacin varias veces, y
luego lee la transcripcin para comprobar qu has acertado. Si haces esto rutinariamente, tu listening mejorar exponencialmente. Para ingls
britnico sugiero BBC Learning English. Y para ingls americano VOA
A continuacin dar ejemplos de frases tiles para aprender, y ms abajo vers en una imagen resumen de algunas estas frases que se pueden
usar ANTES y DESPUS de una reunin de trabajo.

Nota: En estos dilogos nos imaginaremos a una persona hispanoparlante que viaja a otro pas a una reunin en la que debe comunicarse en
ingls.

Acerca de la familia. Nota: Normalmente, en las reuniones de trabajo no se suele preguntar sobre el estado civil de las personas o hacer
preguntas consideradas demasiado personales, pero s es posible que se mencione a la familia de manera colateral.
