The music of "Hark! The Herald Angels Sing!" is actually from the second chorus of a
cantata written by Mendelssohn in 1840 to commemorate Johann Gutenberg's invention
of printing. Dr. William Cummings put Wesley's words and Mendelssohn's music together.
