YNynd11y la refrigeracin es de tipo OFAF.
Se instalan cuarenta y ocho interruptores de potencia monofsicos de la marca
ABB, 24 para cada parque. Son interruptores de tanque vivo con corte mediante
soplado de SF6. Los de 400 kV sern el modelo LTB E con mecanismo de operacin
BLG que disponen de dos cmara de corte en serie y los de 220 kV sern el modelo
LTB E con mecanismo de operacin BLK que disponen de una cmara de corte.
Se utilizan cuarenta y cuatro seccionadores trifsicos de la marca MESA de los
cuales 21 son seccionadores pantgrafos y 23 son seccionadores de tres columnas
con columna central giratoria.
Se instalan seis autovlvulas de la marca ABB, para proteger el aislamiento de
los autotransformadores.
Se emplean diecisis bobinas de bloqueo de la marca TRENCH, para las
comunicaciones de los sistemas de proteccin secundarios de las lneas.
Se usan treinta y seis transformadores de tensin capacitivos de la marca
ARTECHE con relaciones de 396/3:0,11/3kV para 400 kV y de 220/3:0,11/3kV
para 220 kV. En ambos sistemas, los transformadores dispondrn de dos devanados
de proteccin y uno de medida
Se instalan cuarenta y ocho transformadores de intensidad de la marca
ARTECHE con relaciones de 3000/5 A para 400 kV y 2000/5 A para 220 kV.
Dispondrn de un devanado de medida en todos los casos y de cuatro de proteccin
para 400 kV y tres en 220 kV.
La red de tierras inferior dispondr de un mallado subterrneo a 0,8 m de
profundidad comn para los dos parques. La red de puesta a tierra superior estar
basada en un modelo electrogeomtrico de descargas atmosfricas con puntas
Franklin y cables de tierra.
Se seleccionan los siguientes dimetros exteriores de tubo para embarrado:

Los tendidos altos sern mediante cable flexible de tipo Dplex Lapwing para
400 kV y de tipo Dplex RAIL para 220 kV.
Los prticos sern de tipo celosa galvanizada en caliente de montaje in situ.
Las estructuras para izado de la aparamenta ser mediante vigas de perfil HEB de
acero galvanizado en caliente.

Project Summary
The aim of this project is the construction of a high voltage electrical substation
for the Spanish transmission network in rural zone with parks of 400 kV and 220 kV.
It is developed the substation design and it is marked the guidelines for the
construction and assembly, in order to facilitate operation and maintenance over its
lifetime.
The motivation for the construction of this substation has been the need to
achieve better meshing of the transport network to improve the flow of charge,
adding two new power plants in 400 kV and expanding the 220 kV network with two
lines of new construction.
The substation will be called Cotonal and will be the union point of:
- 400 kV park arriving two transport lines (Sierra and Villa de San Luis), an
evacuation line of a combined cycle (CCC Roncillo), an evacuation line of a thermal
generator (Usasol) and high power transformer position 400/220 kV of 600 MVA at
most, reserving three positions for future expansion (two positions of transport and
one for a future AT2).
- 220 kV arriving six transport lines (Valle de la Moneda, Puente, Cristina,
Puerto del Durillo and Fuentes Altas in double circuit) and the low power
transformer position 400/220 kV of 600 MVA at most, reserving three positions for
future expansion (two positions of transport and one for a future AT2).
Cotonal substation will be built in Castrillo de Don Juan, a town located in the
province of Palencia. The land for the substation construction has an area of 8.7
hectares and is located 2 km away from the town. In order to choose the right place,
firstly it has been selected the interest zone, depending on the location of the lines
and the generation points that they are wanted to interconnect. Secondly,
environment department has selected areas with the lowest environmental impact in
the zone. Finally, over all options it has been selected the area with the best quality /
price relation, with the help of geotechnical and topographical study.
relays based on the differential transformer principle (87T) and specific protections
of these machines such as thermal images (49), Buchholz relay (63) and the
overpressure valve.
The substation will be part of the communications network for the transport
system and will have double node with SDH technology in order to redound critical
communications.
Auxiliary services design includes the power source system. It has been
employed the tertiary winding of autotransformers as main power source. It has been
built a medium voltage line and has been installed a generator as secondary power
systems. Auxiliary services consist of an AC panel for lighting, operating and
distribution, and a DC panel for circuit-breakers and disconnectors motors, and
control and protection systems.
They have been designed lighting, fire and anti-intrusion systems.
