Antes de poner en funcionamiento el mando a distancia, le invitamos a que lea con atencin estas instrucciones completas. Mantenga las instrucciones en buen estado para su consulta posterior o por si tuviera que cedrselas a un tercero.
Recomendaciones relativas a la batera

Mantenga las bateras fuera del alcance de los nios. En caso de ingestin de una batera, consulte inmediatamente con un mdico. Antes de insertar las bateras, aunque los contactos en el aparato y en las bateras estn limpios, lmpielos de todos modos. Introduzca nicamente bateras nuevas. No utilice nunca bateras nuevas y antiguas al mismo tiempo. No mezcle diferentes tipos de bateras. Al poner las bateras, preste atencin a las polaridades (+/). ATENCIN! Existe peligro de explosin en caso de cambio inadecuado de las bateras! Cambie las bateras solamente por otras del mismo tipo o de tipo similar. No trate nunca de recargar bateras. Corre peligro de explosin. Guarde las bateras solamente en un lugar fresco y seco. Las fuente de calor fuerte directas pueden daar las bateras. No configure el aparato por lo tanto con ninguna fuente de calor fuerte. No provoque un cortocircuito con las bateras. No tire las bateras al fuego. Si no utiliza el aparato durante un largo espacio de tiempo, retire las bateras. Saque inmediatamente las bateras gastadas del aparato. Limpie los contactos antes de introducir bateras nuevas. Hay riesgo de quemadura con cidos por el cido de las bateras! Retire tambin las bateras vacas del aparato.
Limpieza
Limpie el aparato con un pao seco o ligeramente hmedo y sin pelusas. No utilice ningn cido ni medios de limpieza agresivos.

Trate de no reparar el mando a distancia por s mismo. El mando a distancia universal dispone de un diodo infrarrojo de la clase de lser 1. Este mando a distancia universal dispone de ocho botones y puede realizar por lo tanto hasta ocho funciones normales de un mando a distancia ("Funcin 8en-1"). Esto pueden ser los mandos a distancia de casi cualquier forma de mantenimiento electrnico a distancia (vase tambin la lista de cdigo adjunta). Los indicativos en las teclas fuente TV, VCR, DVD, CD, ASAT, CBL, AUX, DSAT sirven para aportar claridad. Con la excepcin de la tecla TV, puede mostrar cada tecla con cada aparato (Modo Flex). Para la programacin de los cdigos, consulte Programacin del cdigo del aparato en la pgina 12.
Puesta en funcionamiento
Introduccin de las bateras
Necesita dos pilas LR03 AAA. Retire la tapa del compartimento de bateras deslizndola hacia abajo. Inserte ambas bateras, prestando atencin a las polaridades +/ indicadas en el compartimento. Vuelva a colocar la tapa.
Configuracin tras el cambio de bateras

Cuando se insertan las bateras correctamente, se enciende la pantalla. Se muestra el modo activo (TV), el da de la semana y la hora. Para configurar la hora y la fecha, lea Configuracin de hora y fecha en la pgina 9. Tras un nuevo cambio de bateras, se reconfiguran el modo, hora, fecha y tiempo de iluminacin del fondo para volver a la configuracin de fbrica. Por otra parte, los cdigos ya programados y las funciones de aprendizaje y las macros programadas permanecen.

Si se presiona accidentalmente una tecla (por ejemplo, porque se ha puesto un objeto sobre el mando a distancia), el mando a distancia enva una seal infrarroja de 255 (correspondiente a aprox. 30 segundos) y se detiene la transmisin. As se evita que se vace la batera innecesariamente.

Pantalla bsica Hora

En la pantalla bsica aparece en la primera fila del modo activo (tipo de aparato) en la segunda fila, da de la semana y hora.
Fecha
Tras pulsar brevemente la tecla SETUP 1 aparece: en la primera fila para la funcin SHIFT activada (S); en la segunda fila la fecha. Para configurar la hora y la fecha, lea Configuracin de hora y fecha en la pgina 9.

Seleccionar modo o aparato

Con una tecla de fuente, puede seleccionar el modo o el aparato en el que ha sido programada dicha tecla. En la pantalla aparece: en la primera fila, el indicador de la tecla correspondiente; en la segunda fila, el cdigo programado de dicho aparato. Para programar el cdigo del aparato, lea Programa el cdigo del aparato en la pgina 12.
Si se pulsa largo tiempo la tecla Configuracin, se abre el men CONFIGURACIN con la primera CONFIGURACIN DEL CDIGO del men (ver captulo siguiente). 2 La mayora de las teclas pueden ser utilizadas con dos funciones (ver pgina 19). La segunda funcin se activa utilizando a continuacin la funcin SHIFT.

Navegar en el men
Para abrir el men Configuracin, mantenga pulsada la tecla SETUP hasta que aparezca en pantalla la entrada CODE SETUP con la adicin SET . Cuando aparezca en pantalla CODE SETUP, pulse de nuevo la tecla SETUP para que aparezcan los dems mens: CODE SETUP > SYSTEM SETUP > TIMER SETUP > LEARN SETUP > MACRO SETUP > EXIT SETUP. Para abrir un men, pulse OK. Para seleccionar alguno de los submens, pulse las teclas de direccin .
Para salir del men de configuracin, pulse la tecla EXIT y confirme la opcin que aparece en pantalla de EXIT SETUP con OK.
Interrupcin del proceso

Si desea interrumpir un proceso, espere unos 30 segundos. El men de Configuracin se cierra automticamente y se ilumina rpidamente el indicativo TIMEOUT.

Configuracin de hora y fecha

Ajuste de la hora
1. Mantenga pulsada la tecla SETUP durante aprox. tres segundos, hasta que se encienda el indicativo CODE
SETUP.
2. Pulse la tecla de configuracin una vez ms para que aparezca la SYSTEM SETUP. 3. Confirme con OK. Aparece la VOL/MUTE SETUP. 4. Seleccionar con la tecla de direccin la TIME SETUP y confirme con OK. 5. El modo de tiempo actual parpadear. Seleccione con el modo Tiempo 12 24 las teclas de direccin HR (= horas) y confrmelo con OK (vase el final de la seccin). 6. El indicativo de horas parpadear. Seleccione con la tecla de direccin la hora y confirme con OK. 7. El indicativo de minutos parpadear. Seleccione con la tecla de direccin los minutos y confirme con OK. 8. Aparecer el mensaje SUCCESS. La pantalla vuelve a CODE SETUP. En caso de seleccionar el modo Tiempo 12 HR, se mostrar la hora con el aadido AM (horas de la maana) o PM (horas de la tarde).
Configuracin de la fecha
1. Haga aparece como se describe en Configuracin de la hora la SYSTEM SETUP. 2. Confirme con OK. Aparece la VOL/MUTE SETUP. 3. Seleccione con la tecla de direccin (dos veces) la DATE SETUP y confirme con OK. 4. El ao parpadear. Seleccione con la tecla de el ao y confirme con OK. direccin 5. El indicativo del mes parpadear. Seleccione con la tecla de direccin el mes y confirme con OK. 6. El da (DATE) parpadear. Seleccione con la tecla de direccin el da y confirme con OK. 7. El da de la semana (DAY) parpadear. Seleccione el da de la semana y con la tecla de direccin confirme con OK. 8. Aparecer el mensaje SUCCESS. La pantalla vuelve a CODE SETUP.
Iluminacin del fondo

Cada vez que pulse una tecla, se enciende la iluminacin del fondo de la pantalla. En la configuracin de fbrica, la iluminacin permanece encendida durante diez segundos. Puede apagar la iluminacin de fondo o mantenerla hasta 60 segundos. Tenga en cuenta que la iluminacin de fondo utiliza una carga adicional de la batera. 1. Mantenga pulsada la tecla SETUP durante aprox. tres segundos, hasta que se encienda el indicativo CODE SETUP. 2. Pulse la tecla de configuracin una vez ms para que aparezca la SYSTEM SETUP. 3. Confirme con OK. Aparece la VOL/MUTE SETUP. 4. Seleccione con la tecla de direccin (tres veces) la BACKLIGHT SETUP (configuracin de luz de fondo) y confirme con OK. 5. El tiempo fijado actualmente parpadea (diez segundos, en las opciones fijadas en fbrica). Seleccione las flechas de direccin en segmentos de cinco segundos el periodo de tiempo deseado. Para apagar la iluminacin de fondo, seleccione 00 segundos. Confirme con OK. 6. Aparecer el mensaje SUCCESS. La pantalla vuelve a CODE SETUP.

Iluminacin del fondo
Con un Reset, fijar las configuraciones del aparato devolvindolas a los valores establecidos en fbrica. Los cdigos programados, las funciones de aprendizaje y los macros tambin sern borrados. 1. Mantenga pulsada la tecla SETUP durante aprox. tres segundos, hasta que se encienda el indicativo CODE
SETUP.
2. Pulse la tecla de configuracin una vez ms para que aparezca la SYSTEM SETUP. 3. Confirme con OK. Aparece la VOL/MUTE SETUP. 4. Seleccione con la tecla de direccin confirme con OK. (cuatro veces) el SYSTEM RESET y
5. Aparece el mensaje CONFIRM RESET (confirmar Reset). Confirme con OK. para realizar el Reset. 6. Mientras que se vuelve a los valores establecidos en fbrica, aparece PLEASE WAIT en la pantalla.

Programacin del cdigo del aparato

Debe programar con un cdigo de aparato de cuatro posiciones cada aparato que desea utilizar con ayuda del mando a distancia universal, en una de las teclas fuente (TV, VCR, DVD, CD, ASAT, CBL, AUX, DSAT). Para ello, los indicativos que aparecen sobre las teclas les servirn de ayuda. Con la excepcin de la tecla TV, puede introducir cada tecla con cada aparato (Modo Flex). La tecla TV slo puede ser utilizada con los cdigos del aparato de TV. Su mando a distancia universal est preprogramado con cdigos propios de aparatos de la marca Medion y puede ser utilizado en sus funciones ms importantes sin programacin en algunos aparatos Medion.

Cada tipo de aparato est clasificad en un grupo de cdigos de aparatos. Si selecciona un tipo de aparato, se buscar un cdigo de aparatos en el grupo de cdigo correspondiente. Posibilidades de programacin
por medio de la seleccin de un cdigo para un tipo de aparato determinado en la pantalla, con la lista de cdigos adjunta, con una bsqueda, por el nombre comercial. En los aparatos combinados (p.ej., televisor con grabadora de vdeo, televisor con reproductor de DVD, grabadora de DVD y vdeo) es imprescindible utilizar dos teclas fuente con los correspondientes cdigos para ambas piezas del aparato (p. ej., la tecla fuente TV para las funciones del televisor y otra tecla fuente para las funciones de grabadora de vdeo o DVD). Hay tambin aparatos combinados con slo un cdigo para ambos aparatos (ver sobre esto tambin Utilizacin de aparatos combinadosen la pgina 19). Aparece el indicativo DEVICE? TV (Aparato? TV). el tipo de aparato que desea 6. Seleccione con las teclas de direccin programa con esta tecla fuente. (Al seleccionar TV no es posible elegir ningn tipo de aparato, porque en la tecla fuente TV slo se pueden programas cdigos de TV.) Preste atencin a la lista y a la tabla en la pgina 13. 7. Pulse OK. Aparece el indicativo PLEASE WAIT. Los cdigos del grupo del aparato que se encuentran en el tipo de aparato anteriormente seleccionado aparecern ahora en la relacin de nombres comerciales (ver tambin la lista de cdigos adjunta). Aparece la primera entrada por orden alfabtico con el primer cdigo. el nombre comercial del 8. Seleccione con las teclas de direccin aparato. Aparece el primer cdigo. 9. Seleccione con las teclas de direccin un cdigo de aparatos con ese nombre comercial. 10. Pruebe ahora el mando a distancia universal con su aparato. Para ello, utilice , 0 9, VOL, P+/, (dependiendo del tipo de aparato) las teclas POWER AV, silencio , el teletexto - y las seis teclas de reproduccin. En el caso de que el aparato no reacciones como desea, seleccione otro cdigo. 11. Si ha encontrado un cdigo de aparato adecuado, pulse OK, para guardar el cdigo. Aparece de nuevo el indicativo PLEASE WAIT, seguido del mensaje SUCCESS. El mando a distancia se enciende en funcionamiento normal.

Con la bsqueda manual, puede encontrar un cdigo de un aparato, incluyendo aqullos que no se encuentran en la lista de cdigos. 1. Encienda el aparato que desea utilizar. 2. Mantenga pulsada la tecla SETUP durante aprox. tres segundos, hasta que se encienda el indicativo CONFIGURACI N DEL C DIGO. 3. Pulse OK. Aparece a continuacin el indicativo LIST CODES (hacer aparecer la lista de cdigos). (dos veces) 4. Seleccione con las teclas de direccin el men SEARCH CODES (buscar cdigos). 5. Pulse OK. Aparece el indicativo MODE KEY (tecla fuente). 6. Pulse la tecla fuente deseada (TV, VCR, DVD, CD, ASAT, CBL, AUX, DSAT). Aparece el indicativo DEVICE TV (Aparato? TV).

Ahora realice la prueba de funcin pulsando varias veces una tras otras (hasta 350 veces) las teclas P+, o PLAY (slo en la grabacin de vdeo), hasta que el aparato cambie de canal, se apague o reaccione como corresponde. La bsqueda del cdigo comenzar con cdigo momentneamente guardado. Durante la bsqueda, aparece la entrada SEARCHING (junto con el tipo de aparato seleccionado) en la pantalla. En el caso de haberse pasado el cdigo, puede volver hacia atrs con ayuda de la tecla P. 10. Si el aparato reacciona como debe al pulsar la tecla, pulse OK, para guardar el cdigo. Aparece el mensaje SUCCESS. El mando a distancia se enciende en funcionamiento normal. Cuando ya han sido seleccionados todos los cdigos del tipo de aparato seleccionado anteriormente, siga el mensaje SEARCH END.
Bsqueda de cdigo por nombre comercial

Esta funcin le ofrece la posibilidad de realizar una bsqueda por nombres de marcas. Los nombres comerciales se encuentran en la lista de cdigos en Bsqueda de cdigo por nombre comercial. 1. Encienda el aparato que desea utilizar. 2. Mantenga pulsada la tecla SETUP durante aprox. tres segundos, hasta que se encienda el indicativo CODE SETUP. 3. Pulse OK. Aparece a continuacin el indicativo LIST CODES (hacer aparecer la lista de cdigos). 4. Seleccione con las teclas de direccin (tres veces) el men BRAND CODES (cdigos del fabricante). 5. Pulse OK. Aparece el indicativo MODE KEY (tecla fuente). 6. Pulse la tecla fuente deseada (TV, VCR, DVD, CD, ASAT, CBL, AUX, DSAT). Aparece el indicativo DEVICE TV (Aparato? TV).

Ahora realice la prueba de funcin pulsando varias veces una tras otras las teclas P+, o PLAY (slo en la grabacin de vdeo), hasta que el aparato cambie de canal, se apague o reaccione como corresponde. La bsqueda del cdigo comenzar con cdigo momentneamente guardado. Durante la bsqueda, aparece la entrada SEARCHING (junto con el tipo de aparato seleccionado) en la pantalla. En el caso de haberse pasado el cdigo, puede volver hacia atrs con ayuda de la tecla P. 12. Si el aparato reacciona como debe al pulsar la tecla, pulse OK, para guardar el cdigo. Aparece el mensaje SUCCESS. El mando a distancia se enciende en funcionamiento normal.

Utilizacin de un nico aparato
Tras haber realizado la programacin de su mando a distancia para los aparatos de sonido e imagen, el mando a distancia funciona en las funciones principales comunes tal y como el mando a distancia original del correspondiente aparato. Dirija el mando a distancia hacia el aparato deseado y pulse la tecla fuente correspondiente. El indicativo de la tecla fuente y el cdigo programado aparecen en pantalla. [En las funciones universales ver Funciones universales Punch Through en la pgina 29 no utilice la tecla fuente antes de pulsar.] Ahora activarn las funciones pulsando las teclas correspondientes de su mando a distancia universal. Cada vez que pulse una tecla, aparece el smbolo para la transferencia por ultrarrojos. La iluminacin del fondo de pantalla se enciende cada vez que pulse la tecla durante diez a 60 segundos (para la configuracin del tiempo, lea: Iluminacin del fondo en la pgina 10). Atencin, tenga cuidado: En determinadas circunstancias, no estn disponibles directamente todas y cada una de las funciones de su mando original en el mando a distancia universal. Especialmente en el caso de los aparatos nuevos, es posible que las funciones inicialmente bajo otras teclas funcionen de manera distinta a la esperada o no estn disponibles en absoluto. En este caso, puede utilizar la funcin de aprendizaje para transferir las funciones de su mando a distancia origina en las teclas deseadas el mando a distancia universal (ver Funcin de aprendizaje en la pgina24).
Funcin SHIFT
Tras la programacin con un cdigo de aparato, puede utilizar doblemente las teclas del mando a distancia universal (con excepcin de las teclas SETUP y MACRO). Para utilizar esta segunda funcin, pulse la tecla SETUP brevemente y a continuacin (en un mximo de entre 15 y 20 segundos) una de las teclas de funciones o numricas. Compruebe qu funciones adicionales tiene una tecla en un cdigo de aparato determinado.
Grabaciones
La tecla (Grabacin) debe ser pulsada dos veces para realizar una grabacin (p. ej. grabadora de vdeo, de DVD o de cintas). Esto sirve para protegerse de fuentes equivocadas.

La tecla EPG (EPG = Gua de programa electrnico) tiene distintas funciones segn las cuales se utiliza un cdigo diferente: En los cdigos de TV y satlite (p.ej. en SAT-TV o DVB-T), la tecla inicia el programa de televisin electrnica. En el caso de cdigos de DVD, la tecla inicia el men de ttulos. En el caso de cdigos de grabadora de vdeo, con la tecla se puede realizar una programacin siempre que su grabadora de vdeo est disponible con la funcin ShowView. Si el aparato dispone de una funcin EPG y de una funcin Showview, tiene prioridad la funcin EPG.
Utilizacin de aparatos combinados

Aparatos combinados con dos cdigos de aparato

Funcin APAGAR TODO

Afinador de rdenes
Para utilizar este temporizador, debe ajustarse la hora. Con el afinador de rdenes, puede programar una funcin para que se active en un determinado momento en un plazo mximo de las prximas 24 horas. La cadena de rdenes puede estar compuesta de hasta cuatro rdenes, siendo la primera siempre la seleccin de una tecla fuente. Para las restantes tres rdenes, no puede utilizar las siguientes teclas: las teclas fuentes, el Joystick (teclas de direccin y OK), MACRO, SETUP, EXIT. Puede crear cuatro afinadores de rdenes diferentes (Timer 1, Timer 2, Timer 3, Timer 4). Si se introduce una orden, este temporizador se apagar automticamente.
Programacin del afinador de rdenes

Por ejemplo: A continuacin, se describe la programacin de un afinador de rdenes, que controle la grabacin con una grabadora de DVD. 1. Mantenga pulsada la tecla SETUP durante aprox. tres segundos, hasta que se encienda el indicativo CONFIGURACI N DEL C DIGO. 2. Puede guardar manualmente funciones de un mando a distancia original en su mando a distancia universal. La orden ser guardada en la tecla fuente en la que haya sido programado el mando a distancia original. El mando a distancia universal puede memorizar hasta 150 rdenes.
Recomendaciones sobre la funcin de memoria

Utilice para ambos mandos a distancia bateras nuevas. Si comienza la programacin desde el principio, y especialmente tras la primera puesta en marcha, borre todas las rdenes registradas (ver Borrar rdenes para todas las teclas fuente en la pgina 26). En cada tecla, puede programar slo un mando a distancia original. Si desea programar un mando a distancia original en una tecla fuente, borre primero las rdenes de esta tecla fuente (ver Borrar rdenes slo para una tecla fuente en la pgina 26). Si la memoria est llena, aparecer el mensaje LEARN ERROR. En ese caso, borre la orden guardada. La programacin de cada tecla puede durar unos tres segundos. No suelte la tecla a memorizar antes de que aparezca el mensaje SUCCESS o LEARN ERROR. Las siguientes teclas no pueden ser ocupadas con funciones: SETUP, MACRO y todas las teclas fuente. Un mando a distancia original (para DVD, grabadora de vdeo, SAT) puede ser programado con cdigos de aparato de varias marcas de TV para que realice las funciones bsicas de un televisor (volumen, silencio, bsqueda de canales). No trate de transferir las funciones de un mando a distancia original que hayan sido programadas con cdigos de otro televisor, a un mando a distancia universal. Puede causar fallos en la programacin. Primero realice una prueba, programando dos o tres rdenes y luego probndolas. Antes de programar una orden, borre todas las rdenes grabadas anteriormente (ver Borrar rdenes para todas las teclas fuente en la pgina 26). No ponga en marcha la funcin de memoria directamente bajo una lmpara de baja energa. Este tipo de lmparas (p. ej., fluorescentes) pueden contener piezas de luz con infrarrojos que pueden influir en la funcin de memoria.

Con una macro puede guardar cadenas de rdenes, y aplicar varias funciones una tras otra. Puede programar tres macros y distribuirlas en las teclas numricas 1, 2 y 3. Estas tres cifras numricas tienen dibujos adicionales TV, VCR, DVD, para poder clasificar las macros como corresponde. Cada macro puede comprender hasta diez rdenes de teclas. Una macro puede corresponderse con varios aparatos. De este modo, puede por ejemplo encender el televisor, el canal deseado, la grabadora de vdeo y la funcin de grabacin pulsando simplemente la tecla MACRO y la tecla numrica deseada 1, 2 3. Si desea interrumpir la programacin de la macro, pulse SETUP. La macro no ser en ese caso guardada.

Incorporacin de retrasos
Puede ser interesante incorporar un retraso en una orden para, por ejemplo, tener en cuenta un precalentamiento para el televisor. El retraso normal entre seales infrarrojos es de medio segundo. 1. Al introducir el paso (ver punto 7 arriba) pulse la tecla PAUSE en el punto en el que desea insertar el retraso. Aparece la pregunta DELAY TIME? (Retraso temporal?). 2. Pulse una tecla numrica correspondiente a los segundos que desea retrasar (p. ej., 3 para un retraso de tres segundos). El retraso mximo es de nueve segundos.
Introduccin de macros
1. Para introducir una macro, pulse en el modo normal una vez brevemente la tecla MAKRO. Aparece el mensaje: MACRO KEY? 2. Pulse antes de que pasen 20 segundos la tecla numrica bajo la que est registrada la macro (1, 2 3). Mientras se introduce la macro, aparece MACRO 1 ( 2 3) con el smbolo de envo. En el caso de la cifra numrica seleccionada no tenga asociada ninguna macro, aparece el mensaje MACRO 1 VOID.

Macros
Las funciones universales (tambin conocidas como funciones Punch Through) le permiten introducir determinadas funciones en otros tipos de aparatos. Se trata de las funciones volumen, silencio y reproduccin.
Funciones de reproduccin
Si el mando a distancia est en funcionamiento TV, SAT o cable (aparatos sin funciones de reproduccin propias), las teclas PLAY, STOP, PAUSA, ADELANTO/RETRASO RPIDOS y GRABACIN controlan una grabadora de vdeo o reproductor de DVD conectados. No necesita tener pulsada antes las teclas fuente DVD o VCR. Ser siempre controlado el ltimo aparato seleccionado. Este control Punch-Through no funciona si los cdigos TV, SAT o cable programados tienen su propia funcin de grabacin de vdeo (por ejemplo, un aparato combinado TV-grabadora de vdeo). Volumen/Silencio
A menudo, los aparatos de transmisin de imgenes que estn conectados a un televisor (p. ej., TV, DVD, VCR, SAT, CBL) no tienen ninguna regulacin de volumen. La pantalla permanece oscura: Verifique si las pilas que lleva el mando a distancia estn cargadas y correctamente colocados los polos +/-. Si las bateras estn muy bajas, sustityelas por otras nuevas. El mando a distancia no funciona: Verifique si el aparato est correctamente conectado y si est encendido. Se han introducido varios cdigos de aparatos bajo el nombre comercial de mi aparato. Cmo encuentro el cdigo de aparato correcto? Para confirmar el cdigo de aparato adecuado para su aparato, pruebe los cdigos uno tras otro, hasta que las funciones del aparato funcionen correctamente. Los aparatos reaccionan slo a una orden del mando a distancia: Pruebe otros cdigos hasta que el aparato reaccione a la orden correspondiente. Si la programacin del cdigo descrita no resulta con xito, puede ocurrir en algunos casos que el aparato no sea compatible con el mando a distancia universal.

Mantenha as pilhas fora do alcance das crianas. Caso seja engolida uma pilha, dirija-se imediatamente a um mdico. Antes de introduzir as pilhas, verifique se os contactos no aparelho e nas pilhas esto limpos e, se necessrio, proceda sua limpeza. Introduza sempre pilhas novas. Nunca utilize pilhas novas e usadas ao mesmo tempo. No misture tipos de pilhas. Ao introduzir as pilhas, tenha ateno polaridade das mesmas (+/). ATENO! Em caso de substituio inadequada das pilhas, pode existir perigo de exploso! Substitua as pilhas apenas pelo mesmo tipo ou por um muito semelhante. No tente carregar as pilhas. Existe perigo de exploso! Coloque as pilhas num local fresco e seco. O calor directo pode danificar as pilhas. Por isso, no exponha o aparelho a fortes fontes de calor. No curto-circuite os contactos das pilhas. No queime as pilhas no fogo. Se o aparelho no for utilizado por um longo perodo de tempo, retire as pilhas. Configuraes aps a substituio das pilhas

Se as pilhas estiverem bem colocadas o visor est ligado. Apresenta o modo activo ("TV), o dia da semana e a hora. Para configurar a hora e a data leia "Configurar hora e data na pgina 11. Aps a recolocao das pilhas, o modo, a hora, a data e o tempo de iluminao de fundo so repostos para as configurao de fbrica. Em contrapartida mantm-se os cdigos programados, assim como, as funes de programao programadas e macros aps a substituio das pilhas.
Proteco contra a descarga involuntria das pilhas

Se um boto for premido involuntariamente (p.ex. porque se encontra um objecto em cima do telecomando), o telecomando envia 255 sinais infravermelhos (corresponde aprox. 30 segundos) e pra a transmisso. Assim evita a descarga desnecessria das pilhas.

Seleccionar modo ou aparelho

Com o boto de seleco selecciona o modo ou o aparelho que foi programado no boto de seleco. No visor surge: na primeira linha a designao do boto de seleco respectivo; na segunda linha o cdigo programado deste aparelho. Para programar o cdigo do aparelho leia por favor "programar cdigo do aparelho na pgina 14.
- Ao premir prolongadamente o boto setup o menu SETUP abre com o primeiro menu CODE SETUP (comp. Prximo captulo).

Se desejar interromper um processo, aguarde aprox. 30 segundos. O menu Setup fecha-se automaticamente e surge por breves instantes a indicao TIMEOUT.
Configurar a data e a hora

O visor base indica na linha inferior o dia da semana e a hora. Ao premir durante breves instantes o boto SETUP ocorre na linha inferior por aprox 30 segundos a data.
1. Mantenha o boto SETUP premido durante 3 segundos at que ocorra a indicao CODE SETUP. 2. Prima o boto SETUP mais uma vez por breves instantes para consultar o SYSTEM SETUP. 3. Confirme com OK. Ocorre o VOL/MUTE SETUP fn. 4. Seleccione com a direco da seta o TIME SETUP e confirme com OK. 5. O modo da hora actual pisca. Seleccione com as setas o modo da hora 12 ou 24 HR de direco (= horas) e confirme com OK (ver fim do captulo). 6. A indicao de horas fica intermitente. 7. A indicao dos minutos pisca. Seleccione com as direces das setas os minutos e confirme com OK. 8. Surge a mensagem de confirmao SUCCESS; o visor volta para o CODE SETUP.
Se seleccionar o modo da hora 12 HR, a hora indicada com os suplementos AM (horas da manh) ou PM (horas da tarde).

Em cada activao do boto liga-se a iluminao de fundo do visor. No ajuste de fbrica a iluminao mantm se acesa durante 10 segundos. Pode desligar a iluminao de fundo ou prolongar para 60 segundos. Tenha em ateno, que a iluminao de fundo necessita de capacidade de pilhas adicional. 1. Mantenha o boto SETUP premido durante 3 segundos at que ocorra a indicao CODE SETUP. 2. Prima o boto SETUP mais uma vez por breves instantes para consultar o SYSTEM SETUP. 3. Confirme com OK. Ocorre o VOL/MUTE SETUP. 4. Seleccione com a seta de direco (trs vezes) o BACKLIGHT SETUP (Setup para a iluminao de fundo) e confirme com OK. 5. A hora actual pisca (10 segundos no ajuste de fbrica). Seleccione com as setas de direco em intervalos de 5 segundos o perodo de tempo desejado. Para desligar a iluminao de fundo seleccione 00 segundos. Confirme com OK. 6. Com um Reset repe todas as configuraes do aparelho para os ajustes de fbrica. Cdigos programados, funes de programao, macros so eliminados. 1. Programar cdigos do aparelho

Tem de programar um cdigo de quatro algarismos atravs de um boto de seleco (TV, VCR, DVD, CD, ASAT, CBL, AUX, DSAT) para cada aparelho que pretenda controlar com o telecomando universal. As designaes nos botes funcionam apenas como ajuda. Com excepo do boto TV, pode ocupar cada boto com qualquer aparelho (modo-Flex) O boto TV pode ser ocupado apenas com um cdigo TV. O seu telecomando universal est pr-programado com alguns cdigos de aparelhos da marca Medion e pode ser utilizado nas funes mais importantes sem programao num aparelho Medion.

Atribuio aos grupos de cdigos

Cada tipo de aparelho est atribudo a um grupo de cdigos do aparelho. Quando seleccionar um tipo de aparelho procurado um cdigo do aparelho no respectivo grupo de cdigos. Os tipos de aparelhos devem ser atribudos da seguinte forma: Tipo de aparelho Televiso VCR, LD, DVD, DVR, HDD, HTIB SAT, CABLE, DVB-T, STB, AUDIO, AMP, RECR, MP3, CD, TAPE, TUNER, PHONO, HTIB (parcialmente) Grupo de cdigos Televiso VCR/DVD CBL/SAT CD UDIO
Possibilidades de programao
Os seguintes captulos descrevem os diversos mtodos como encontrar um cdigo de aparelho: por seleco de um cdigo para um determinado tipo de aparelho atravs do visor, de acordo com a lista de cdigos fornecida, atravs de uma busca automtica, atravs do nome comercial. Nos aparelhos combi (p.ex. televisor com videogravador, televisor com leitor DVD, DVD e videogravador) muitas vezes necessrio, ocupar dois botes de seleco com o respectivo cdigo para ambas as peas do aparelho (p.ex. os botes de seleco TV para as funes televisivas e outro boto de seleco para as funes VCR ou DVD). Mas existem tambm aparelhos combi com apenas um cdigo para ambas as peas do aparelho (ver para tal tambm "utilizar aparelhos combi" na pgina 20).
Consultar modo do programa

Para consultar o modo do programa, mantenha o boto SETUP premido at que ocorra a indicao CODE SETUP e o registo "SET.

Seleccione com as setas de direco um cdigo do aparelho deste nome comercial. 10. Experimente agora o telecomando universal no seu aparelho. Para isso utilize (de acordo com o tipo de aparelho) os botes POWER , 0 9, VOL, P+/ , AV, modo silencioso , os botes do teletexto, assim como, os seis botes de reproduo. Se o aparelho no reage de forma desejada seleccione outro cdigo. 11. Quando encontrar o cdigo do aparelho adequado, prima OK, para memorizar o cdigo. Surge novamente a indicao PLEASE WAIT, seguida pela mensagem de confirmao SUCCESS. O telecomando comuta para o funcionamento normal.

Os cdigos dos respectivos aparelhos podem ser consultados na lista de cdigos, que se encontra includa neste manual de instrues. 1. Ligue o aparelho a ser comandado. 2. Mantenha o boto SETUP premido durante 3 segundos at que ocorra a indicao CODE SETUP. 3. Prima OK. 4. Seleccione com as seta de direco CODES (introduzir cdigo). 5. Prima OK. Surge a indicao MODE KEY (boto de seleco). 6. Pressione brevemente a tecla de seleco desejada (TV, VCR, DVD, ASAT, DSAT, CBL, CD, AUX). 7. Seleccione com os botes numricos o cdigo desejado da lista de cdigos. Aps a introduo do 4 dgito surge a mensagem de confirmao SUCCESS. O telecomando comuta para o funcionamento normal. Se for introduzido o cdigo errado surge a respectiva mensagem de erro CODE ERROR. O telecomando universal volta para o funcionamento normal.

Prima os botes de seleco desejados (TV, VCR, DVD, CD, ASAT, CBL, AUX, DSAT). Surge a indicao DEVICE TV (aparelho? TV). o tipo de aparelho que deve ser 7. Se passou o cdigo, pode voltar atrs passo a passo com o boto P . 10. Quando o aparelho reagir activao do boto prima OK para memorizar o cdigo. Surge a mensagem de confirmao SUCCESS. O telecomando comuta para o funcionamento normal. Depois de seleccionar todos os cdigos do tipo de aparelhos seleccionado anteriormente ocorre a mensagem Espaol

Localizao de cdigo pelo nome do fabricante

Esta funo oferece-lhe a possibilidade de efectuar uma localizao de acordo com o nome do fabricante. Os nomes do fabricante constam na tabela de cdigos no Localizao de cdigos de acordo com os nomes do fabricante. 1. Ligue o aparelho a ser comandado. 2. Mantenha o boto SETUP premido durante 3 segundos at que ocorra a indicao CODE SETUP. 3. Prima OK. Surge ento a indicao LIST CODES (consultar lista de cdigos). 4. Seleccione com a seta de direco (trs vezes) o menu BRAND CODES (cdigos dos fabricantes). 5. Prima OK. Surge a indicao MODE KEY (boto de seleco). 6. Identificao do cdigo
Se desejar saber, qual o cdigo que est gravado sob um determinado boto de seleco prima simplesmente esse boto de seleco. Aparecem o tipo de aparelho desejado e o cdigo do aparelho.

Comandar aparelhos individuais

Depois de ter efectuado a programao do seu telecomando para os seus aparelhos de udio/vdeo, o telecomando trabalha com as funes principais mais utilizadas no telecomando original do respectivo aparelho. Direccione o seu telecomando para o aparelho pretendido e pressione o respectivo boto de seleco. A designao do boto de seleco e do cdigo programado surge no visor. [Em funes universais ver "funes universais "Punch Through na pgina 32 no precisa de premir o boto de seleco antecipadamente.] Active as funes premindo o respectivo boto do seu telecomando universal. Em cada activao do boto surge o smbolo para a transmisso dos infravermelhos. A iluminao de fundo do visor liga-se em cada activao do boto por 10 a 60 segundos (para a configurao do perodo leia por favor: "Iluminao de fundo na pgina 12). Tenha em ateno: Sob determinadas circunstncias, nem todas as funes do seu telecomando original esto disponveis directamente no telecomando original. Especialmente em aparelhos novos possvel que, em primeiro lugar, as funes estejam dispostas noutros botes que no as esperadas ou que nem sequer estejam disponveis. Nestes casos poder utilizar a funo de programao para transmitir as funes do seu comando original para as teclas desejadas do seu comando universal (ver "funo de programao" na pgina 25). Funo SHIFT
Aps a programao com um cdigo do aparelho os botes do telecomando universal podem estar ocupadas duplamente (com excepo dos botes Setup e MACRO). Para utilizar esta segunda funo, prima brevemente o boto SETUP e de seguida (no prazo de 15-20 segundos) um dos botes numricos ou de funcionalidade duplamente ocupados. Teste quais das funes adicionais tm uma tecla num cdigo de aparelho especfico.
Gravaes
O boto (gravao) tem de ser premido duas vezes para uma gravao (p. Ex. gravador de vdeo, gravador de DVD ou de cassete). Isto serve para proteco contra gravaes inadvertidas.

Funcionamento normal
Programa electrnico EPG

O boto EPG(EPG = Electronic Program Guide) tem diferentes funes dependendo do cdigo em que utilizada: Em cdigos para televisores e satlites (por ex. TV satlite ou DVB-T), o boto abre o canal de televiso electrnico. Em cdigos para DVD, o boto abre o menu dos captulos. Em cdigos para VCR pode executar uma programao com o boto, desde que o seu videogravador disponha de uma funo show view. Se o aparelho possuir uma funo EPG como tambm uma funo Showview, a funo EPG tem prioridade.
Comandar aparelhos combinados

Aparelhos combi so, por exemplo, um aparelho televisivo com gravador de vdeo, um aparelho televisivo com leitor de DVD ou um gravador de DVD com gravador de vdeo. Em aparelhos combinados h mais possibilidades do controlo.
Aparelhos combinados com dois cdigos de aparelho

Alguns aparelhos combinados (p. ex. um televisor com videogravador) necessitam de dois cdigos de aparelho para cada parte do aparelho. Programe o cdigo de TV adequado no boto de seleco TV e o cdigo para o gravador de vdeo no outro boto de seleco. Assim, o aparelho combinado comando enquanto dois aparelhos separados.
Aparelhos combinados com um cdigo de aparelho

Outros aparelhos combinados precisam apenas de um cdigo. Neste ponto, tem de seleccionar a parte do aparelho, que pretende comandar. Exemplo: O aparelho um gravador de DVDs / videogravador combinado. O cdigo de aparelho foi memorizado na tecla de DVD. Active agora a funo DVD no aparelho combi mantendo o boto DVD premido pelo menos durante um segundo. Agora active a parte relativa ao DVD no aparelho combinado, premindo a tecla de seleco DVD durante mais do que um segundo. Para activar o gravador de vdeo no aparelho combinado, prima primeiro a tecla SETUP para a funo SHIFT, depois o boto de seleco DVD. Se o seu aparelho combinado s necessitar de um cdigo de aparelho, mas se pretender comand-lo com dois botes de seleco para as duas partes do aparelho, proceda do seguinte modo: Programe o cdigo do aparelho em duas teclas de seleco. Comande uma das partes do aparelho com um dos dois botes de seleco. Utilize a funo de programao (ver pgina 28) para transmitir as funes desejadas da outra parte do aparelho para o boto de seleco.

Funcionamento normal
Pode desligar todos os aparelhos pr-programados simultaneamente. Proceda da seguinte forma: 1. Volte a premir imediatamente o boto ALL OFF e mantenha-o premido durante 3 segundos. 2. Quando soltar o boto surge ALL OFF e os aparelhos desligam-se. Alguns aparelhos podem ser ligados e desligados com o boto POWER/ALL OFF. Desligar o temporizador sleep

Se o temporizador sleep estiver ligado ("Zzz no visor) surge nos passos em cima descritos em vez do SLEEP SET da visualizao TV a visualizao TV SLEEP CLEAR. 1. Execute os passos 1-4 (v. em cima). Surge a indicao TV SLEEP CLEAR. 2. Prima OK. Surge a mensagem CONFIRM CLEAR (confirmar Apagar). 3. Prima OK. Surge a mensagem de confirmao SUCCESS.

Para este temporizador tem de estar configurada a hora. Com o temporizador de comando pode programar uma funo, que executada automaticamente numa determinada altura nas prximas 24 horas. A cadeia de comandos pode ter at quatro comandos, tendo de ser o primeiro comando sempre a seleco de um boto de seleco. Para os trs seguintes comandos no podem ser utilizados os seguintes botes: Os botes de seleco, o joystick (setas de direco e OK), MACRO, SETUP, EXIT. Pode criar quatro temporizadores de comando (temporizador 1, temporizador 2, temporizador 3, temporizador 4). Se o comando foi efectuado este temporizador eliminado automaticamente.
Programar temporizador de comando

1. Mantenha o boto SETUP premido durante 3 segundos at que ocorra a indicao CODE SETUP. 2. Prima o boto SETUP para aceder ao menu Configurao. 3. Prima OK. Podem memorizar manualmente funes do telecomando original no telecomando universal. Os comandos so gravados sob um boto de seleco, na qual o aparelho do telecomando original foi programado. O telecomando universal pode aprender at 150 ordens.
Indicaes relativas funo de programao

Utilize pilhas novas nos dois telecomandos. Se iniciar desde o incio a programao especialmente aps a primeira colocao em funcionamento , elimine primeiro todos os comandos prmemorizados (ver Eliminar comandos na pgina 29). Em cada boto de seleco apenas pode ser programado um telecomando original. Se desejar programar um telecomando original num boto de seleco, elimine primeiro os comandos deste boto de seleco (ver Eliminar comandos na pgina 29). Se a memria estiver cheia surge a mensagem LEARN ERROR. Neste caso elimine comandos memorizados. Cada programao de uma tecla pode durar aprox. 3 segundos. No solte o boto a ser programado antes de surgir a mensagem SUCCESS ou LEARN ERROR . As seguintes teclas no pode ser ocupadas com funes: SETUP, MACRO e todos os botes de seleco. Alguns telecomandos originais (para DVDs, gravador de vdeo, SAT) podem ser programados com cdigos de aparelhos de algumas marcas de televisores para executar funes base no televisor (volume, modo silencioso, localizao de canais). No tente transmitir as funes de um telecomando original, que, por sua vez, foi programado com o cdigo de outro televisor, para o seu comando universal. Poderiam surgir erros durante a programao. Faa primeiro uma tentativa, programando dois ou trs comandos e de seguida verifique. Antes de programar os seus comandos, elimine todos os comandos existentes (ver Eliminar comandos na pgina 29). No efectue a funo de programao directamente sob uma lmpada de poupana de energia. Este tipo de lmpadas (p. ex. lmpadas fluorescentes) podem conter percentagens de luz de infravermelhos, que podem influenciar a funo de programao.

Segue o pedido LEARN KEY. Seleccione o boto no telecomando universal, em qual a funo do telecomando original deve ser memorizado (no: SETUP e MACRO). 8. Agora surge a indicao LEARNING. Prima agora o boto do telecomando original, cuja funo deve ser transmitida para o telecomando universal. Mantenha o boto premido at que ocorra a mensagem SUCCESS ou LEARN ERROR. 9. Segue a pergunta: LEARN MORE?. Se desejar efectuar mais funes de programao confirme com OK. Surge novamente o pedido LEARN KEY. Continue como descrito a partir do ponto 7. Se desejar terminar a funo de programao prima EXIT. O telecomando comuta para o funcionamento normal.

Macros
Com uma macro possvel memorizar cadeias de ordens, ou seja, permitir a execuo sequencial de vrias funes. Pode programar trs macros e coloc-las nos botes numricos 1, 2 e 3. Estes trs botes numricos possuem a designao adicional TV, VCR, DVD de forma a poder atribuir correctamente os macros. Cada macro pode conter at dez ordens de teclas. Uma macro pode incluir diferentes aparelhos. Deste modo pode, por exemplo, ligar o televisor, o canal desejado, o gravador de vdeos e activar a funo de gravao, premindo apenas o boto MACRO e o boto numrico seleccionado 1, 2 ou 3. Se pretender interromper previamente a programao macro prima SETUP. Neste caso a macro no memorizada.
Programar macros
1. Mantenha o boto SETUP premido durante 3 segundos at que ocorra a indicao CODE SETUP. 2. Prima o boto SETUP mais quatro vezes por breves instantes para consultar o MACRO SETUP. 3. Prima OK para consultar o modo MACRO SET (configurar macro). 4. Confirme novamente com OK. 5. Seleccione agora o boto numrico 1, 2 ou 3, no qual a macro deve ser memorizado. 6. Segue a pergunta MACRO 1 MODE? (o dgito corresponde ao boto numrico anteriormente seleccionado). Pressione um boto de seleco para o aparelho, com qual o comando deve iniciar. 7. Segue um pedido de introduo MACRO 1 KEY?. Com a contagem dos passos (02 para o segundo passo). Execute agora as funes, que pretende gravar como macro. Pode premir mais 9 botes, podendo mudar de aparelho atravs dos botes de seleco. 8. Quando a sequncia destes passos estiver terminada prima o boto MACRO para memorizar a macro. Aps o passo 10 a macro memorizada automaticamente. 9. Surge a mensagem de confirmao SUCCESS.

Macros
Pode justificar-se um retardamento temporal no passo de uma ordem para, p. ex., ter em considerao a fase de aquecimento do televisor. O retardamento padro entre os sinais infravermelhos de meia hora. 1. Ao introduzir os passos (ver ponto 7 acima), pressione a tecla PAUSE no local onde o retardamento deve ser introduzido. Surge a pergunta DELAY TIME? (Retardamento temporal?). 2. Pressione a tecla numrica correspondente aos segundos que pretende retardar a operao (p. ex. 3 para um retardamento de 3 segundos). O retardamento mximo de 9 segundos.
Executar macros
1. Para executar uma macro, pressione uma vez brevemente a tecla MACRO no modo normal. Surge a mensagem: MACRO KEY?. 2. Seguidamente, num espao de 20 segundos prima o boto numrico no qual a macro est memorizada (1, 2 ou 3). Enquanto a macro executada surge MACRO 1 (ou 2 ou 3) com o smbolo de emisso. Se no for colocada nenhuma macro sob os botes numricos seleccionados ocorre a mensagem MACRO 1 VOID. English

Introduzir retardamento
Funes universais (Punch Through)

As funes universais (tambm designadas funes Punch Through) permitem-lhe executar determinadas funes noutro tipo de aparelho do que as configuradas. Estas funes so o volume, o modo silencioso assim como as funes de reproduo.
Funes de reproduo
Quando o telecomando est no modo TV, SAT ou funcionamento cabo (aparelho sem funo de reproduo prpria), os botes PLAY, STOP, PAUSE, RPIDO PARA AVANAR/RETROCEDER e, se necessrio, GRAVAR comandam um gravador de vdeo conectado, leitor de DVD ou gravador de vdeo. No necessrio premir primeiro o boto de seleco DVD ou VCR. sempre activado o ltimo aparelho seleccionado. Este comando Punch-Through no funciona, quando o cdigo cabo, TV ou SAR programado possui a sua prpria funo gravador de vdeo (como por exemplo num aparelho combinado gravador de vdeo-TV).
Volume/modo silencioso
Muitas vezes os aparelhos de transmisso de imagem, que esto conectados a um televisor (p.ex. TV, DVD, VCR, SAT, CBL) no possuem a sua prpria regulao de volume. Quando um telecomando universal comanda um aparelho assim e os botes so premidos a regulao do VOL (volume) ou MUTE (modo silencioso) volume transmitida para o televisor. Esta configurao bsica do aparelho pode ser alterada (comp. Os dois captulos seguintes). De seguida as funes volume/modo silencioso so chamadas por "VOL/MUTE.

Pode configurar o telecomando de forma a que as funes universais VOL/MUTE no comandem o televisor mas sim um outro tipo de aparelho. Este aparelho deve possuir naturalmente um regulador de volume. 1. Mantenha o boto SETUP premido durante 3 segundos at que ocorra a indicao CODE SETUP. 2. Prima o boto SETUP mais uma vez por breves instantes para consultar o SYSTEM SETUP. 3. Prima OK. Surge por breves instantes e de forma sequencial a indicao PLEASE WAIT e a mensagem de confirmao SUCCESS. Se seleccionar, por engano, um aparelho que no possua regulao do volume prpria, ocorre uma mensagem de erro.

Pode ajustar o comando universal de modo a que este utilize as suas prprias funes VOL/MUTE num determinado aparelho. A funo "Punch-Through est desligada neste aparelho. Para o modo TV no pode desligar a funo universal. Se seleccionou um outro modo para a funo universal VOL/MUTE como descrito no captulo anterior tambm no pode desconectar a funo universal neste modo. 1. O aparelho permanece escuro Verifique se as pilhas do telecomando esto colocadas correctamente e se a polaridade +/ corresponde. Se as pilhas estiverem demasiado fracas, substitua-as por novas. O telecomando no funciona: Verifique se os seus aparelhos esto conectados e ligados correctamente. So apresentados vrios cdigos de aparelhos para a marca do meu aparelho. Como que distingo o cdigo certo do aparelho? Para determinar o cdigo certo para o seu aparelho, tente os cdigos sequencialmente at o maior nmero de funes funcionar correctamente. Os aparelhos reagem apenas a algumas ordens do telecomando: Verifique outros cdigos at os aparelhos reagirem de modo correspondente. Se a nenhuma programao de cdigo descrita for bem sucedida, em casos especiais possvel que o aparelho no seja compatvel com o seu telecomando universal.

General information
Do not attempt to repair the remote control yourself. The universal remote control contains an infrared laser class 1 diode. The device has a safety system that prevents the emission of dangerous laser rays escaping from the device during normal use. In order to avoid injury to the eyes, never interfere with or damage the unit's security system. Battery instructions
Keep children away from the batteries. Seek medical attention immediately in the event of a battery being swallowed. Before inserting the batteries, check whether the contacts in the device and batteries are clean and, if necessary, clean them. Only use new batteries. Never use old and new batteries together. Do not use a combination of battery types. Please note the polarity (+/-) when inserting the batteries. WARNING! There is a risk of explosion if batteries are incorrectly replaced. Replace the batteries only with the same or equivalent type. Never try to recharge non-rechargeable batteries. There is a risk of an explosion! Store batteries in a cool, dry location. Direct strong heat can damage the batteries. For that reason do not expose the device to any sources of strong heat. Never short-circuit the batteries. Never throw batteries into a fire. If the appliance is not going to be used for long periods, remove the batteries. Immediately remove leaking batteries from the device. Clean the contacts before inserting new batteries. There is a risk of corrosion due to battery acid! Also remove dead batteries from the device.

Product description
This universal remote control has eight mode keys and therefore can replace up to eight normal remote controls ("8 in 1 function). These may be remote controls for practically every type of remote-controlled consumer electronics (see the supplied code list). The labels "TV" "VCR" "DVD" "CD" "ASAT" "CBL" "AUX" "DSAT" on the mode keys are for overview purposes. With the exception of the TV key, you can assign any key to any device (Flex Mode). To program in codes see Programming device codes on page 12.
Operation
Inserting batteries
2 LR03 AAA micro batteries are supplied. Remove the battery compartment cover by pushing it downwards. Insert both batteries into the compartment while observing the +/- polarity. Replace the cover.
Settings after battery replacement

If the batteries have been inserted correctly, the factory setting is displayed. It shows the active mode ("TV"), the day of the week and the time. Please read Setting time and date on page 9 for more information on setting the time and date. After new batteries have been inserted, the mode, time, date and backlight time are reset to the factory settings. However, codes that have already been programmed in as well as programmed learn functions and macros are retained when batteries are changed.
Protection against unexpected battery discharging

If a key remains pressed down by accident (because something is lying on the remote control for example), the remote control sends 255 infrared signals (for approximately 30 seconds) and this ends the transmission. This prevents the batteries from discharging accidentally.

Navigating the menus

To open the Setup menu, press and hold the SETUP key until CODE SETUP appears along with the "SET" symbol in the display. If the display shows CODE SETUP continue to press the SETUP key to access the other menus: CODE SETUP > SYSTEM SETUP > TIMER SETUP > LEARN SETUP > MACRO SETUP > EXIT SETUP. Press OK to open a menu. Press the arrows to switch between sub-menus .
To exit the Setup menu, press the EXIT key and confirm the EXIT SETUP display with OK.
Cancel function
If you wish to cancel a process, wait approx. 30 seconds. The Setup menu closes automatically and the TIMEOUT message appears.
In the standard display, the day and time appear in the lower column. Press the SETUP key briefly to show the date in the lower column for approx. 30 seconds.

Backlight
The display's backlight comes on each time the button is pressed. The backlight's factory setting is for 10 seconds. You can switch off the backlight or extend it to 60 seconds. Programming device codes

For every device that you would like to operate using the universal remote control, you must program a four-digit device code to a mode key (TV, VCR, DVD, CD, ASAT, CBL, AUX, DSAT). The names on the keys are only for reminder purposes. With the exception of the TV key you can assign any key to any device (Flex Mode). The TV mode key can only be assigned to TV device codes. Your universal remote control is pre-programmed with proprietary codes from Tevion devices and its most important functions can be used with proprietary Tevion devices without requiring any extra programming.
Device types and code groups

You can choose between the following device types when programming in codes: TV: TV set, projector, plasma screen, LCD; VCR: Video recorder; LD: Laser disc player; DVD: DVD player; DVR: Digital video recorder; HDD: Hard disk drive; SAT: Satellite receivers (analogue, digital); CABLE: Cable box, Pay TV decoder; DVBT: DVB-T receivers; STB: Set top box; AUDIO: Audio device; AMP: Amplifier; RECR: Receiver (combined radio and amplifier); HTIB: Home Cinema; MP3: MP3 player; CD: CD player; TAPE: Cassette players; TUNER: Radio; PHONO: Record player.

Each type of device is assigned to a group of device codes. When you select a device type, the appropriate code group is searched to find a device code. Programming options
The following sections describe the different methods for finding a device code: by selecting a code for a certain device type in the display, according to the enclosed Code List, by running a search, by brand name. For combined devices (e.g. TV set with video recorder, TV set with DVD player, DVD and video recorder) it is often necessary to assign two mode keys with the respective code for each part of the device (e.g. the TV mode key for TV functions and a different mode key for the VCR or DVD functions). Operating individual devices
After you have finished programming your remote control for your audio/video devices, the remote control will work in the common main functions just like the original remote control for the respective device. Point your remote control at the desired device and press the relevant mode key. The mode key label is displayed with the programmed in code. [For the universal functions see Universal functions (Punch Through) on page 29 you do not need to press the mode key in advance.] Activate the functions by pressing the corresponding function key on your universal remote control. The symbol for infrared transmission appears each time you press a key. Each time a key is pressed the display backlight switches on for between 10 and 60 seconds (to set this duration please read: Backlight on page 10). Please note: In certain circumstances, not every function of your original remote control may be directly available on the universal remote control. Especially for newer devices, it might be possible that the functions are stored to different keys than expected or may not even be available at all. In these cases you can use the learn function to transfer the functions of your original remote control to the desired keys of the universal remote control (see Learn function on page 24).
SHIFT function
After you program a device code, the universal remote control keys can have double functions (with the exception of the SETUP and MACRO keys). To use the second function, briefly press the SETUP key and then (within 15-20 seconds) press one of the secondary function or number keys. Try out which additional functions a key has for a particular device code.
Recordings
The (Record) key for recording (e.g. on video recorder, DVD, or cassette recorder) must be pressed twice. This acts as a protection from accidental recordings.

Operating combined devices

Combined devices are for example a TV set with an integrated video recorder, a TV set with a DVD player or a DVD recorder with a video recorder. Several controlling options are available to combined devices.
Combined devices with two device codes

Some combined devices (e.g. TV set with video recorder) require two device codes - one for each device part. Program the correct TV code on the TV mode key and the video recorder code on the other mode key. The combined device is then controlled like two separate devices.
Other combined devices only require one code. In this case, you must first select the device part you would like to operate. Example: The device is a combined DVD recorder/video recorder. The device code was stored on the DVD mode key. Now activate the DVD part in the combined device by holding down the DVD mode key for longer than one second. To activate the video recorder in the combined device, first briefly press the SETUP key for the SHIFT function, then the DVD mode key. If your combined unit only requires one code but you would like to operate it with two mode keys, then proceed as follows: Programme the device code to two mode keys. Operate one of the unit parts with one of the two mode keys. Use the learn function (see Learn function on page 24) to transfer the desired functions of the other unit part to the other mode key.

The EPG ("Electronic Programme Guide") key has various functions depending on which code has been used: For TV and satellite codes (e.g. SAT-TV or DVB-T), the button opens the electronic programme guide. For DVD codes the button opens the title menu. For VCR codes you can use the button for programming, if your video recorder has a Showview function. If the device has both an EPG and a Showview function, the EPG function is given priority.

ALL OFF function

You can switch off all pre-programmed devices at the same time. This is done as follows: 1. Press the ALL OFF key twice in rapid succession and keep it pressed down after the second time for approx. 3 seconds. 2. When you release the key, ALL OFF appears and the devices are switched off. Some devices can be switched on and off with the ALL OFF key Devices switched off in such a way will, if they were switched off, be switched back on when you perform the ALL OFF function.

The universal remote control has two timer functions: a sleep-timer for the TV (automatic switch off after 1 to 90 minutes); "Zzz" appears in the display: four additional times for customisable commands (e.g. switching to another programme); the bell symbol appears in the display.

The clock must be set for this timer. You can use the command timer to program a function that is to run automatically at a particular time within the next 24 hours. The command series can contain up to four commands, the first command must always be the selection of a mode key. The following keys are not available for the remaining three commands: the mode keys, the joystick (arrows and OK), MACRO, SETUP, EXIT. You can create four command timers (Timer 1, Timer 2, Timer 3, Timer 4). When the command is run this timer is automatically deleted.
Program the command timer

Example: This is how to program a command timer to control a recording on a DVD recorder. 1. Keep the SETUP key pressed down for approx. 3 seconds, until CODE SETUP appears. 2. Learn function
You can manually save the functions of an original remote control to your universal remote control. Commands are saved to the mode key on which the device of the original remote control was programmed. The universal remote control can learn up to 150 commands.
Notes on learn function

Use new batteries for both remote controls. If you start programming from the start especially after the first operation delete all saved commands first of all (see Deleting commands for all mode keys on page 26). Only one original remote control can be programmed on each mode key. If you would like to program an original remote control to a mode key, first delete the commands on this mode key (see Deleting commands for only one mode key on page 26). The LEARN ERROR message is displayed if the memory is full. If this happens, delete saved commands. Programming each key can take approx. 3 seconds. Do not release the key to be learned before the SUCCESS or LEARN ERROR message appears. The following keys cannot be assigned to functions: SETUP, MACRO and all mode keys. Some original remote controls (for DVD, video recorder, SAT) can themselves be programmed with the device codes of some TV brands to carry out basic TV set functions (volume, mute, channel search). Do not attempt to transfer the functions of an original remote control that has been programmed with the code of a different TV set to your universal remote control. This could cause programming errors. First try to program two or three commands and then test them. Before programming in your commands, first delete all existing commands (see Deleting commands for all mode keys on page 26). Do not execute the learn function under a low-energy lamp. Such lamps (e.g. fluorescent lamps) can contain infrared light components that could influence the learn function.

To programme, proceed as follows: 1. Place the remote controls with the infrared diodes facing each other spaced 15 to 50 mm apart on the table. The infrared diodes must be pointing directly at each other.

Keep the SETUP key pressed for approx. 3 seconds until CODE SETUP appears. Press SETUP briefly three more times to open the LEARN SETUP menu. Press OK to open the learn mode. Confirm once again with OK. Now select the mode key on which the device of the original remote control was programmed. The LEARN KEY prompt appears. Now select the key on the universal remote control that is to be assigned to the original remote control function (not: SETUP or MACRO). In the display you now see LEARNING. Deleting commands for only one mode key

Using a macro, you can save a chain of commands, meaning that several functions can be executed consecutively. You can program three macros and store them on the number keys 1, 2 and 3. These three number keys have the additional labels TV, VCR, DVD, so that you can assign macros accordingly. Each macro can include up to ten key commands. A macro can include different devices. In this way you could, for example, switch on the TV set, the desired channel, the video recorder and the recording function by simply pressing the MACRO key and the selected number key 1, 2 or 3. The Setup and MACRO keys cannot be used for a macro. If you would like to interrupt macro programming prematurely, press SETUP. In this case, the macro is not saved.

Incorporating delays
It can be useful to incorporate a time delay before a command step in order to take the warm-up phase of the TV set into consideration, for example. The standard delay between the infrared signals is equal to half a second. 1. While entering the steps (see Point 7 above) press the PAUSE key at the point where the time delay should be incorporated. The DELAY TIME? query appears. 2. Press a number key corresponding to the seconds by which you would like to delay (e.g. 3 for a 3-second delay). The maximum delay is 9 seconds.
Executing macros
To execute a macro, briefly press the MACRO key once in normal mode. The following message appears: MACRO KEY?. Then press the number key where the macro was saved within 20 seconds (1, 2 or 3). While the macro is running, MACRO 1 (or 2 or 3) appears along with the transmission symbol. If no macro is saved under the selected numberkey, the message MACRO 1 VOID appears.
Deleting macros
Perform steps 1 to 3 as described in section Programming macros on page 27. The MACRO SET display appears. to select the MACRO CLEAR 1. Use the arrows mode. 2. 3. 4. 5. Press OK" The following message appears: MACRO KEY?. Press the number key where the macro is stored for the macro that you would like to delete. The CONFIRM CLEAR prompt appears.

The universal functions (also called Punch Through functions) enable you to carry out certain functions on a different device type than the programmed one. These are the volume, mute and playback functions.
Playback functions
If the remote control is in TV, SAT or cable mode (devices without playback function), the PLAY, STOP, PAUSE, FAST FORWARD/BACK, and in some cases RECORD keys will control a connected video recorder, DVD player or video recorder. The DVD or VCR mode keys do not need to be pressed in advance. The last selected device is activated. This Punch Through control does not work if the programmed TV, SAT or cable code has its own video recorder function (for example in the case of a combined TV-video recorder device). Volume/mute
Image transmitting devices connected to a TV (e.g. TV, DVD, VCR, SAT, CBL) often do not have their own volume control. When the universal remote control is controlling this type of device and the VOL ) (Mute) keys are pressed, the volume control is transferred to (Volume) or ( the TV. You can modify this basic device setting (cf. both sections below). The volume/mute functions are referred to in the shortened form VOL/MUTE below.

Programming the VOL/MUTE universal functions to another device type

You can program the remote control so that the universal functions VOL/MUTEwill control a device type other than the TV set. Of course this device must have a volume control. 1. Keep the SETUP key pressed down for approx. 3 seconds, until CODE SETUP appears. 2. Press SETUP again briefly to open SYSTEM SETUP.

You can program the universal remote control in such a way that it will use only that particular devices own VOL/MUTE functions. The "Punch Through" function for this device is therefore switched off. The universal function cannot be switched off for the TV mode. As described in the previous section, if you have selected a different mode for the VOL/MUTE universal function, you will not be able to switch off the universal function for this mode either. 1. The display remains dark: Check whether the remote control batteries have been correctly inserted and have matching +/ polarity. If the batteries are too weak then replace them with new ones. The remote control does not work: Check whether your devices have been properly connected and are switched on. There are several device codes listed under the brand name of my device. How do I determine the correct device code? To determine the correct device code for your device, try each consecutive code until most of the functions of the device function properly. The devices only respond to a few remote control commands: Continue testing further codes until the devices respond to the commands accordingly. If none of the code programmings described are successful, it may be, in exceptional cases, that the device is not compatible with your universal remote control.

Bevor Sie die Fernbedienung in Betrieb nehmen, lesen Sie bitte diese Anleitung ausfhrlich durch. Bewahren Sie die Anleitung zum Nachschlagen oder zur evtl. Weitergabe an Dritte gut auf.
Allgemeines
Versuchen Sie nicht, die Fernbedienung selbst zu reparieren. Die Universal-Fernbedienung besitzt eine Infrarot-Diode der Laserklasse 1. Das Gert ist mit einem Sicherheitssystem ausgerstet, das das Austreten von gefhrlichen Laserstrahlen whrend des normalen Gebrauchs verhindert. Um Augenverletzungen zu vermeiden, manipulieren oder beschdigen Sie niemals das Sicherheitssystem des Gerts. Setzen Sie Ihre Fernbedienung keinem Staub, starker Sonneneinstrahlung, Feuchtigkeit, hohen Temperaturen oder starken Erschtterungen aus. Portugus Deutsch English
Batteriehinweise
Halten Sie Batterien von Kindern fern. Falls eine Batterie verschluckt wurde, suchen Sie umgehend einen Arzt auf. Prfen Sie vor dem Einlegen der Batterien, ob die Kontakte im Gert und an den Batterien sauber sind, und reinigen Sie diese gegebenenfalls. Legen Sie grundstzlich nur neue Batterien ein. Benutzen Sie nie alte und neue Batterien zusammen. Vermischen Sie die Batterietypen nicht. Achten Sie beim Einlegen der Batterien auf die Polaritt (+/). ACHTUNG! Bei unsachgemem Auswechseln der Batterien besteht Explosionsgefahr! Ersetzen Sie die Batterien nur durch denselben oder einen gleichwertigen Typ. Versuchen Sie niemals, Batterien wieder aufzuladen. Es besteht Explosionsgefahr! Lagern Sie Batterien an einem khlen, trockenen Ort. Direkte starke Wrme kann die Batterien beschdigen. Setzen Sie das Gert daher keinen starken Hitzequellen aus. Schlieen Sie Batterien nicht kurz. Werfen Sie Batterien nicht in Feuer. Wenn Sie das Gert fr lngere Zeit nicht benutzen, nehmen Sie die Batterien heraus. Nehmen Sie ausgelaufene Batterien sofort aus dem Gert. Reinigen Sie die Kontakte, bevor Sie neue Batterien einlegen. Es besteht Vertzungsgefahr durch Batteriesure! Entfernen Sie auch leere Batterien aus dem Gert.
Reinigung
Reinigen Sie das Gert mit einem trockenen oder leicht feuchten, fusselfreien Tuch. Benutzen Sie keine tzenden oder aggressiven Reinigungsmittel.

Anwendungsumfang
Diese Universal-Fernbedienung verfgt ber acht Quellentasten und kann dadurch bis zu acht normale Fernbedienungen ersetzen (8-in-1-Funktion). Dies knnen Fernbedienungen fr praktisch jede Art von ferngesteuerter Unterhaltungselektronik sein (vgl. auch die mitgelieferte Code-Liste) . Die Bezeichnungen TV, VCR, DVD, CD, ASAT, CBL, AUX, DSAT auf den Quellentasten dienen der bersichtlichkeit. Mit Ausnahme der Taste TV knnen Sie jede Taste mit jedem Gert belegen ( Flex Mode). Zur Einprogrammierung der Codes siehe Gertecodes programmieren auf Seite 12.
Inbetriebnahme
Batterien einsetzen
Sie bentigen 2 Microzellen LR03 AAA. Lsen Sie den Batteriefachdeckel, indem Sie ihn nach unten abziehen. Legen Sie die beiden Batterien unter Beachtung der Polaritt +/ in das Fach ein. Setzen Sie die Abdeckung wieder auf.
Einstellungen nach Batteriewechsel

Wenn die Batterien richtig eingelegt sind, ist das Display eingeschaltet. Es zeigt den aktiven Modus (TV), den Wochentag und die Uhrzeit. Zum Einstellen von Uhrzeit und Datum lesen Sie bitte Uhrzeit und Datum einstellen auf Seite 9. Nach einem Neueinlegen der Batterien werden der Modus, die Uhrzeit, das Datum und die Hintergrund-beleuchtungszeit auf die Werkseinstellungen zurckgesetzt. Dagegen bleiben bereits einprogrammierte Codes sowie einprogrammierte Lernfunktionen und Makros nach einem Batteriewechsel erhalten.
Schutz vor unabsichtlicher Batterieentleerung

Sollte eine Taste unabsichtlich gedrckt bleiben (z. B. weil ein Gegenstand auf der Fernbedienung liegt), sendet die Fernbedienung 255 Infrarot-Signale (entspricht ca. 30 Sekunden) und stoppt dann die bertragung. Dies verhindert, dass sich die Batterien unntig entleeren.

Modus bzw. Gert whlen

Mit einer Quellentaste whlen Sie den Modus bzw. das Gert, das auf diese Quellentaste programmiert wurde. Im Display erscheint: in der ersten Zeile die Bezeichnung der entsprechenden Quellentaste; in der zweiten Zeile der einprogrammierte Code dieses Gerts. Zum Einprogrammieren der Gertecodes lesen Sie bitte Gertecodes programmieren auf Seite 12.
- Langes Drcken der Setup Taste ffnet das SETUP-Men mit dem ersten Men CODE SETUP (vgl. nchstes Kapitel). 2 Die meisten Tasten knnen mit zwei Funktionen belegt werden (vgl. Seite 19). Auf die zweite Funktion greifen Sie zu, indem Sie zunchst die SHIFT-Funktion aktivieren.

Um das Setup-Men zu ffnen, halten Sie die SETUP-Taste gedrckt, bis im Display der Eintrag CODE SETUP mit dem Zusatz SET erscheint. Wenn das Display CODE SETUP zeigt, drcken Sie die SETUP-Taste wiederholt, um die weiteren Mens aufzurufen: CODE SETUP > SYSTEM SETUP > TIMER SETUP > LEARN SETUP > MACRO SETUP > EXIT SETUP. Um ein Men zu ffnen, drcken Sie OK. Um zwischen den Untermens zu whlen, drcken Sie die Pfeilrichtungen .
Um das Setup-Men zu verlassen, drcken Sie die Taste EXIT und besttigen Sie das Display EXIT SETUP mit OK.
Vorgang abbrechen
Wenn Sie einen Vorgang abbrechen mchten, warten Sie ca. 30 Sekunden. Das Setup-Men schliet sich automatisch und es erscheint kurz die Anzeige TIMEOUT.

Hintergrundbeleuchtung
Bei jedem Tastendruck schaltet sich die Hintergundbeleuchtung des Displays ein. In der Werkseinstellung bleibt die Beleuchtung fr 10 Sekunden an. Sie knnen die Hintergrundbeleuchtung ausschalten oder bis auf 60 Sekunden verlngern. Bitte beachten Sie, dass die Hintergrundbeleuchtung zustzliche Batterieleistung bentigt. 1. Halten Sie die SETUP-Taste fr ca. 3 Sekunden gedrckt, bis die Anzeige CODE SETUP erscheint. 2. Drcken Sie SETUP-Taste ein weiteres Mal kurz, um das SYSTEM SETUP aufzurufen. 3. Besttigen Sie mit OK. Es erscheint das VOL/MUTE SETUP. 4. Whlen Sie mit der Pfeilrichtung (dreimal) das BACKLIGHT SETUP (SETUP fr die Hintergrundbeleuchtung) und besttigen Sie mit OK. 5. Die aktuell eingestellte Zeit blinkt (10 Sekunden in der Werkseinstellung). Whlen Sie mit den Pfeilrichtungen in Fnf-Sekunden-Schritten die gewnschte Zeitspanne. Um die Hintergrundbeleuchtung auszuschalten, whlen Sie 00 Sekunden. Besttigen Sie mit OK. 6. Die Quittierungsmeldung SUCCESS erscheint; das Display kehrt zum CODE SETUP zurck.

Gertecodes programmieren
Sie mssen einen vierstelligen Gertecode fr jedes Gert, das Sie mit der Universal-Fernbedienung bedienen mchten, auf eine Quellentaste (TV, VCR, DVD, CD, ASAT, CBL, AUX, DSAT) programmieren. Dabei dienen die Bezeichnungen auf den Tasten nur als Merkhilfe. Mit Ausnahme der Taste TV knnen Sie jede Taste mit jedem Gert belegen (Flex-Mode). Die Quellentaste TV kann nur mit TV-Gertecodes belegt werden. Ihre Universal-Fernbedienung ist mit einigen Codes von Gerten der Marke Medion vorprogrammiert und kann in den wichtigsten Funktionen ohne Programmierung auf einige Medion-Gerte angewendet werden.

Jeder Gertetyp ist einer Gruppe von Gertecodes zugeordnet. Wenn Sie einen Gertetyp auswhlen, wird ein Gertecode in der passenden Codegruppe gesucht. Die Gertetypen sind folgendermaen zugeordnet: Gertetyp TV VCR, LD, DVD, DVR, HDD, HTIB SAT, CABLE, DVB-T, STB, AUDIO, AMP, RECR, MP3, CD, TAPE, TUNER, PHONO, HTIB (teilweise) Codegruppe TV VCR/DVD CBL/SAT CD/AUDIO
Programmiermglichkeiten
durch Auswahl eines Codes fr einen bestimmten Gertetyp ber das Display, nach der mitgelieferten Code-Liste, durch einen Suchlauf, nach Handelsname. Bei Kombigerten (z. B. TV-Gert mit Videorecorder, TV-Gert mit DVD-Spieler, DVD- und Videorecorder) ist es hufig notwendig, zwei Quellentasten mit dem jeweiligen Code fr beide Teile des Gerts zu belegen (z. B. die Quellentaste TV fr die TV-Funktionen und eine andere Quellentaste fr die VCR- oder DVDFunktionen). Es gibt jedoch auch Kombigerte mit nur einem Code fr beide Gerteteile (siehe hierzu auch Kombi-Gerte bedienen auf Seite 19). Sie auch die mitgelieferte Code-Liste). Es erscheint der alphabetisch erste Eintrag mit dem ersten Code. den Handelsnamen Ihres Gerts 8. Whlen Sie mit den Pfeilrichtungen aus. Es erscheint der erste Code. einen Gertecode dieses 9. Whlen Sie dann mit den Pfeilrichtungen Handelsnamens. 10. Probieren Sie nun die Universal-Fernbedienung an Ihrem Gert aus. Benutzen Sie hierzu (je nach Gertetyp) die Tasten POWER , 0 9, VOL, P+/, AV, Stummschaltung , die Videotext- sowie die sechs Wiedergabetasten. Falls das Gert nicht wie gewnscht reagiert, whlen Sie einen anderen Code. 11. Wenn Sie einen passenden Gertecode gefunden haben, drcken Sie OK, um den Code zu speichern. Es erscheint wieder die Anzeige PLEASE WAIT, gefolgt von der Quittierungsmeldung SUCCESS. Die Fernbedienung schaltet dann in den Normalbetrieb.

Es erscheint die Quittierungsmeldung SUCCESS. Die Fernbedienung schaltet dann in den Normalbetrieb. Wenn alle Codes des vorher gewhlten Gertetyps gewhlt worden sind, erfolgt die Meldung

Diese Funktion bietet Ihnen die Mglichkeit, nach Handelsnamen zu suchen. Die Handelsnamen finden Sie in der Code-Liste unter Code-Suche nach Handelsname. 1. Schalten Sie das zu steuernde Gert ein. 2. Halten Sie die SETUP-Taste fr ca. 3 Sekunden gedrckt, bis die Anzeige CODE SETUP erscheint. 3. Drcken Sie OK. Es erscheint zunchst die Anzeige LIST CODES (Codeliste aufrufen). (dreimal) das 4. Einzelgerte bedienen
Nachdem Sie die Programmierung Ihrer Fernbedienung fr Ihre Audio/VideoGerte vorgenommen haben, arbeitet die Fernbedienung in den gebruchlichsten Hauptfunktionen wie die Original-Fernbedienung des jeweiligen Gertes. Richten Sie Ihre Fernbedienung auf das gewnschte Gert und drcken Sie die entsprechende Quellentaste. Die Bezeichnung der Quellentaste und der einprogrammierte Code erscheinen im Display. [Bei den Univrsalfunktionen siehe Universalfunktionen Punch Through auf Seite 29 brauchen Sie die Quellentaste nicht vorab zu drcken.] Sie aktivieren die Funktionen nun durch Drcken der entsprechenden Taste Ihrer Universal-Fernbedienung. Bei jedem Tastendruck erscheint das Symbol fr die Infrarotbertragung. Die Hintergrundbeleuchtung des Displays schaltet sich bei jedem Tastendruck fr 10 bis 60 Sekunden ein (zur Einstellung dieser Zeit lesen Sie bitte: HIntergrundbeleuchtung auf Seite 10). Bitte beachten Sie: Unter Umstnden ist nicht jede Funktion Ihrer Original-Fernbedienung auf der Universal-Fernbedienung direkt verfgbar. Insbesondere bei neueren Gerten ist es mglich, dass die Funktionen zunchst unter anderen Tasten als erwartet abgelegt oder gar nicht verfgbar sind. In diesen Fllen knnen Sie die Lernfunktion nutzen, um die Funktionen Ihrer Original-Fernbedienung auf die gewnschten Tasten der UniversalFernbedienung zu bertragen (siehe Lernfunktion auf Seite 24).
SHIFT-Funktion
Nach der Programmierung mit einem Gertecode knnen die Tasten der Universal-Fernbedienung doppelt belegt sein (mit Ausnahme der Tasten SETUP und MACRO). Um diese zweite Funktion zu nutzen, drcken Sie die SETUP-Taste kurz und anschlieend (innerhalb von 15-20 Sekunden) eine der doppelt belegten Funktions- oder Zifferntasten. Probieren Sie aus, welche zustzlichen Funktionen eine Taste bei einem bestimmten Gertecode hat.
Aufnahmen
Die Taste (Aufnahme) muss fr eine Aufnahme (z. B. auf Videorecorder, DVD- oder Kassettenrecorder) zweimal gedrckt werden. Dies dient zum Schutz vor versehentlichen Aufnahmen.

Normaler Betrieb
Die Taste EPG (EPG = Electronic Program Guide) hat verschiedene Funktionen, je nachdem, auf welchen Code sie angewendet wird: Bei TV- und Satellitencodes (z. B. SAT-TV oder DVB-T) ffnet die Taste das elektronische Fernsehprogramm. Bei DVD-Codes ffnet die Taste das Titel-Men. Bei VCR-Codes knnen Sie mit der Taste eine Programmierung vornehmen, sofern Ihr Videorecorder ber eine Showview-Funktion verfgt. Verfgt das Gert sowohl ber eine EPG- als auch ber eine Showview-Funktion, so hat die EPG-Funktion Prioritt.
Kombi-Gerte bedienen
Kombi-Gerte sind z. B. ein TV-Gert mit Videorecorder, ein TV-Gert mit DVDPlayer oder ein DVD-Recorder mit Videorecorder. Fr Kombi-Gerte gibt es mehrere Mglichkeiten der Steuerung.
Kombi-Gerte mit zwei Gertecodes

Manche Kombi-Gerte (z. B. ein TV-Gert mit Videorecorder) bentigen zwei Gertecodes fr jeden Gerteteil. Programmieren Sie den passenden TV-Code auf der Quellentaste TV und den Code fr den Videorecorder auf einer anderen Quellentaste. Sie steuern das Kombi-Gert dann wie zwei separate Gerte.
Andere Kombi-Gerte bentigen nur einen Code. Hier mssen Sie den Gerteteil, den Sie bedienen mchten, zunchst auswhlen. Beispiel: Das Gert sei ein kombinierter DVD-Recorder/Videorecorder. Der Gertecode wurde auf der Quellentaste DVD abgelegt. Nun steuern Sie den DVD-Teil im Kombi-Gert an, indem Sie die Quellentaste DVD lnger als eine Sekunde gedrckt halten. Um den Videorecorder im Kombi-Gert anzusteuern, drcken Sie zunchst kurz die SETUP-Taste fr die SHIFT-Funktion, dann die Quellentaste DVD. Falls Ihr Kombi-Gert zwar nur einen Gerteocode bentigt, Sie es aber mit zwei Quellentasten fr die beiden Gerteteile bedienen mchten, gehen Sie so vor: Programmieren Sie den Gertecode auf zwei Quellentasten. Bedienen Sie den einen Gerteteil mit einer der beiden Quellentaste. Nutzen Sie die Lernfunktion (siehe Lernfunktion auf Seite 25), um die gewnschten Funktionen des anderen Gerteteils auf die andere Quellentaste zu bertragen.

Sie knnen alle vorprogrammierten Gerte gleichzeitig ausschalten. Gehen Sie wie folgt vor: 1. Drcken zweimal kurz hintereinander die ALL OFF Taste und halten Sie die Taste beim zweiten Tastendruck fr ca. 3 Sekunden gedrckt. 2. Wenn Sie die Taste loslassen, erscheint ALL OFF und die Gerte schalten sich aus. Einige Gerte lassen sich mit der POWER/ALL OFF-Taste ein- und ausschalten. Solche ausgeschalteten Gerte werden, wenn sie ausgeschaltet waren, nach der Durchfhrung der ALL OFF-Funktion eingeschaltet.

Die Universal-Fernbedienung verfgt ber zwei Timer-Funktionen: einen Sleeptimer fr das TV-Gert (automatische Ausschaltung nach 1 bis 90 Minuten); im Display erscheint Zzz;: vier weitere Timer fr selbstdefinierte Befehle (z. B. die Umschaltung auf ein anderes Programm); im Display erscheint das Glockensymbol.

Stellen Sie mit den Pfeilrichtungen die Zeit ein, nach der sich das TV-Gert automatisch ausstellen soll. 7. Drcken Sie OK. Es erscheint die Quittierungsmeldung SUCCESS mit dem TV-Timer-Symbol "Zzz". 8. Legen Sie die Fernbedienung so ab, dass sie ohne Hindernis auf das Gert gerichtet ist.
Sleeptimer ausstellen
Wenn ein Sleeptimer eingestellt ist (Zzz im Display), erscheint bei den oben beschriebenen Schritten statt des Displays TV SLEEP SET das Display TV SLEEP CLEAR. 1. Fhren Sie die Schritte 1-4 (s. oben) aus. Die Anzeige TV SLEEP CLEAR erscheint. 2. Drcken Sie OK. Es erscheint die Meldung CONFIRM CLEAR (Lschen besttigen). 3. Drcken Sie OK. Es erscheint die Quittierungsmeldung SUCCESS.

Timer einstellen
Befehlstimer
Fr diesen Timer muss die Uhrzeit eingestellt sein. Mit dem Befehlstimer knnen Sie eine Funktion programmieren, die zu einem bestimmten Zeitpunkt innerhalb der nchsten 24 Stunden automatisch ausgefhrt wird. Die Befehlskette kann aus bis zu vier Befehlen bestehen, wobei der erste Befehl immer die Wahl einer Quellentaste sein muss. Fr die anschlieenden drei Befehle knnen folgende Tasten nicht verwendet werden: die Quellentasten, den Joystick (Pfeilrichtungen und OK), MACRO, SETUP, EXIT. Sie knnen vier Befehlstimer erstellen (Timer 1, Timer 2, Timer 3, Timer 4). Wurde der Befehl ausgefhrt, wird dieser Timer automatisch gelscht.
Befehlstimer programmieren
Beispiel: Im Folgenden wird die Programmierung eines Befehlstimers beschrieben, der eine Aufnahme auf einen DVD-Recorder steuert. 1. Halten Sie die SETUP -Taste fr ca. 3 Sekunden gedrckt, bis die Anzeige CODE SETUP erscheint. 2. Drcken Sie die SETUP -Taste zwei weitere Male kurz, um das TIMER SETUP aufzurufen. 3. Drcken Sie OK. Es erscheint das Men SLEEPTIMER TV. 4. Whlen Sie mit der Pfeilrichtung das Men TIMER 1 SETUP4. 5. Drcken Sie OK, bis die Anzeige TIMER 1 SET (Timer 1 einstellen) erscheint.
6. Drcken Sie OK. Es erscheint die Zeit, zu der der Befehl ausgefhrt werden soll. Die Stunden blinken. 7. Stellen Sie mit den Pfeilrichtungen die Stunden ein und drcken Sie OK. Die Minuten blinken. 8. Stellen Sie mit den Pfeilrichtungen die Minuten ein und drcken Sie OK. 9. Mit dem Display TIMER 1 MODE? beginnt die Eingabe des Befehls. Whlen Sie zunchst ber die Quellentaste das Gert, an dem der Befehl ausgefhrt werden soll. In unserem Beispiel: DVD, wenn der DVD-Recorder auf diese Taste programmiert wurde. 10. Drcken Sie OK. Es erscheint die Aufforderung zur ersten Eingabe TIMER 1 KEY1. Geben Sie nun den ersten Befehl ein. In unserem Beispiel: Whlen Sie das Programm mit den Zifferntasten. Wenn keine weitere Eingabe notwendig ist, drcken Sie OK oder EXIT.

Lernfunktion
Sie knnen Funktionen einer Original-Fernbedienung manuell in Ihre UniversalFernbedienung einspeichern. Die Befehle werden jeweils unter der Quellentaste gespeichert, auf die das Gert der Original-Fernbedienung programmiert wurde. Die Universal-Fernbedienung kann bis zu 150 Befehle lernen.
Hinweise zur Lernfunktion

Benutzen Sie fr beide Fernbedienungen neue Batterien. Wenn Sie die Programmierung von Anfang an beginnen insbesondere nach der Erstinbetriebnahme , lschen Sie zunchst alle vorgespeicherten Befehle (siehe Befehle fr alle Quellentasten lschen auf Seite 27). Auf jede Quellentaste kann nur eine Original-Fernbedienung programmiert werden. Wenn Sie eine Original-Fernbedienung auf eine Quellentaste programmieren mchten, lschen Sie zunchst die Befehle dieser Quellentaste (siehe Befehle fr nur eine Quellentaste lschen auf Seite 27). Ist der Speicher voll, erscheint die Meldung LEARN ERROR. Lschen Sie in diesem Fall gespeicherte Befehle. Jede Programmierung einer Taste kann ca. 3 Sekunden dauern. Lassen Sie die zu lernende Taste nicht los, bevor die Meldung SUCCESS oder LEARN ERROR erscheint. Folgende Tasten knnen nicht mit Funktionen belegt werden: SETUP, MACRO und alle Quellentasten. Einige Original-Fernbedienungen (fr DVD, Videorecorder, SAT) knnen selbst mit Gertecodes mancher TV-Marken programmiert werden, um Grundfunktionen am TV-Gert auszufhren (Lautstrke, Stummschaltung, Kanalsuche). Versuchen Sie bitte nicht, die Funktionen einer OriginalFernbedienung, die wiederum mit dem Code eines anderen TV-Gerts programmiert wurden, auf Ihre Universal-Fernbedienung zu bertragen. Es knnte zu Fehlern bei der Programmierung kommen. Machen Sie zuerst einen Versuch, indem Sie zwei oder drei Befehle programmieren und anschlieend testen. Bevor Sie Ihre Befehle einprogrammieren, lschen Sie alle vorhandenen Befehle (siehe Befehle fr alle Quellentasten lschen auf Seite 27). Fhren Sie die Lernfunktion nicht direkt unter einer Niedrigenergielampe durch. Solche Lampen (z. B. Leuchtstoffrhren) knnen infrarote Lichtanteile beinhalten, die die Lernfunktion beeinflussen knnen.

Lernfunktion
Zur Programmierung gehen Sie wie folgt vor: 1. Legen Sie die beiden Fernbedienungen mit den Infra-Rot-Dioden zueinander in einem Abstand zwischen 15 und 50 mm auf den Tisch. Die Infratotdioden mssen genau aufeinander gerichtet sein.
2. Halten Sie die SETUP-Taste fr ca. 3 Sekunden gedrckt, bis die Anzeige CODE SETUP erscheint. 3. Drcken Sie die SETUP-Taste drei weitere Male kurz, um das LEARN SETUP aufzurufen. 4. Drcken Sie OK, um den Lernen-Modus aufzurufen. 5. Besttigen Sie wieder mit OK. 6. Whlen Sie nun die Quellentaste, auf die das Gert der Original-Fernbedienung programmiert wurde. 7. Es folgt die Aufforderung LEARN KEY. Whlen Sie die Taste an der Universal-Fernbedienung, auf der die Funktion der Original-Fernbedienung gespeichert werden soll (nicht: SETUP und MACRO). 8. Nun erscheint die Anzeige LEARNING. Drcken Sie nun die Taste der Original-Fernbedienung, deren Funktion auf die Universal-Fernbedienung bertragen werden soll. Halten Sie diese Taste so lange gedrckt, bis entweder die Meldung SUCCESS oder LEARN ERROR erscheint. 9. Es folgt die Abfrage: LEARN MORE?. Wenn Sie weitere Lernfunktionen ausfhren mchten, besttigen Sie mit OK. Es erscheint wieder die Aufforderung LEARN KEY. Fahren Sie fort wie ab Punkt 7. beschrieben. Wenn Sie die Lernfunktion beenden mchten, drcken Sie EXIT. Die Fernbedienung schaltet dann in den Normalbetrieb.

Lernfunktion
Mit einem Makro knnen Sie eine Befehlskette speichern, also mehrere Funktionen hintereinander ausfhren lassen. Sie knnen drei Makros programmieren und auf den Zifferntasten 1, 2 und 3 ablegen. Diese drei Zifferntasten haben die zustzlichen Bezeichnungen TV, VCR, DVD, so dass Sie Makros entsprechend zuordnen knnen. Jedes Makro kann bis zu zehn Tastenbefehle umfassen. Ein Makro kann verschiedene Gerte einbeziehen. Auf diese Weise knnen Sie dann z. B. das TVGert, den gewnschten Sender, den Videorecorder und die Aufnahmefunktion einschalten, indem Sie einfach die Taste MACRO und die gewhlte Zifferntaste 1, 2 oder 3 drcken. Wenn Sie die Makro-Programmierung vorzeitig abbrechen mchten, drcken Sie SETUP. Das Makro wird in diesem Fall nicht gespeichert.
Makros programmieren
1. Halten Sie die SETUP-Taste fr ca. 3 Sekunden gedrckt, bis die Anzeige CODE SETUP erscheint. 2. Drcken Sie die SETUP-Taste vier weitere Male kurz, um das MACRO SETUP aufzurufen. 3. Drcken Sie OK, um den Modus MACRO SET (Makro einstellen) aufzurufen. 4. Besttigen Sie wieder mit OK. 5. Whlen Sie nun die Zifferntaste 1, 2 oder 3, unter der das Makro gespeichert werden soll. 6. Es folgt die Abfrage MACRO 1 MODE? (die Ziffer entspricht der vorher gewhlten Zifferntaste). Drcken Sie eine Quellentaste fr das Gert, mit dem der Befehl beginnen soll. 7. Es folgt die Eingabeaufforderung MACRO 1 KEY?. mit der Schrittzhlung (02 fr den zweiten Schritt). Fhren Sie jetzt die Funktion aus, die Sie als Makro speichern mchten. Sie knnen noch 9 weitere Tasten drcken, wobei Sie auch ber die Quellentasten das Gert wechseln knnen. 8. Wenn die Schrittfolge beendet ist, drcken Sie die Taste MACRO, um das Makro zu speichern. Nach Schritt 10 wird das Makro automatisch gespeichert. 9. Es erscheint die Quittierungsmeldung SUCCESS.

Makros
Verzgerung einbauen
Es kann sinnvoll sein, eine Zeitverzgerung vor einen Befehlsschritt einzubauen, um z. B. eine Aufwrmphase fr das TV-Gert zu bercksichtigen. Die standardmige Verzgerung zwischen den Infrarot-Signalen betrgt eine halbe Sekunde. 1. Drcken Sie beim Eingeben der Schritte (siehe Punkt 7. oben) an der Stelle, wo die Zeitverzgerung eingebaut werden soll, die PAUSE-Taste. Es erscheint die Abfrage DELAY TIME? (Zeitverzgerung?). 2. Drcken Sie eine Zifferntaste entsprechend der Sekunden, um die Sie verzgern mchten (z. B. 3 fr 3 Sekunden Verzgerung). Die maximale Verzgerung sind 9 Sekunden.
Makros ausfhren
1. Um ein Makro auszufhren, drcken Sie im Normalmodus einmal kurz die MAKRO-Taste. Es erscheint die Meldung: MACRO KEY?. 2. Drcken Sie dann innerhalb von 20 Sekunden die Zifferntaste, unter der das Makro abgelegt ist (1, 2 oder 3). Whrend das Makro ausgefhrt wird, erscheint MACRO 1 (bzw. 2 oder 3) mit dem Sendesymbol. Falls unter der gewhlten Zifferntaste kein Makro abgelegt ist, erscheint die Meldung MACRO 1 VOID.

Fhren Sie die Schritte 1. bis 3. wie im Abschnitt Makros programmieren auf Seite 28 beschrieben aus. Es erscheint das Display MACRO SET (Makro einstellen). 1. Whlen Sie mit der Pfeilrichtung den Modus MACRO CLEAR (Makro lschen). 2. Drcken Sie OK. Es erscheint die Meldung: MACRO KEY?. 3. Drcken Sie die Zifferntaste, unter der das Makro abgelegt ist, das Sie lschen mchten. 4. Es folgt die Aufforderung CONFIRM CLEAR (Lschen besttigen. 5. Besttigen Sie wieder mit OK. Makros
Die Universal-Funktionen (auch Punch Through-Funktionen genannt) ermglichen Ihnen, bestimmte Funktionen an einem anderen Gertetyp als dem eingestellten auszufhren. Dies sind die Funktionen Lautstrke, Stummschaltung sowie die Wiedergabefunktionen.
Wenn die Fernbedienung im TV-, SAT- oder Kabel-Betrieb ist (Gerte ohne eigene Abspielfunktion), steuern die Tasten PLAY, STOP, PAUSE, SCHNELL VOR/ZURCK und ggf. AUFNAHME einen angeschlossenen Videorecorder oder DVD-Player oder Videorekorder an. Es braucht nicht vorher die DVD- bzw. VCRQuellentaste gedrckt zu werden. Es wird immer das zuletzt gewhlte Gert angesteuert. Diese Punch-Through-Steuerung funktioniert nicht, wenn der einprogrammierte TV-, SAT- oder Kabel-Code seine eigene Videorecorderfunktion hat (wie z. B. bei einem TV-Videorecorder-Kombigert).
Lautstrke/Stummschaltung
Hufig haben bildbertragende Gerte, die an ein TV-Gert angeschlossen sind (z. B. TV, DVD, VCR, SAT, CBL), keine eigene Lautstrkeregelung. Wenn die Universal-Fernbedienung gerade ein solches Gert steuert und die werden gedrckt, Tasten VOL (Lautstrke) oder MUTE (Stummschaltung) wird die Lautstrkeregelung auf das TV-Gert bertragen. Diese Grundeinstellung des Gerts knnen Sie ndern (vgl. die folgenden beiden Abschnitte). Im Folgenden werden die Funktionen Lautstrke/Stummschaltung kurz VOL/MUTE genannt.

Das Display bleibt dunkel: berprfen Sie, ob die Batterien der Fernbedienung korrekt eingelegt sind und die Polung + / bereinstimmt. Falls die Batterien zu schwach sind, tauschen Sie diese durch neue aus. Die Fernbedienung funktioniert nicht: berprfen Sie, ob Ihre Gerte korrekt angeschlossen und eingeschaltet sind. Es sind mehrere Gertecodes unter dem Markennamen meines Gerts aufgefhrt. Wie ermittle ich den richtigen Gertecode? Um den richtigen Gertecode fr Ihr Gert zu bestimmen, probieren Sie die Codes nacheinander aus, bis die meisten Funktionen des Gertes ordnungsgem funktionieren. Die Gerte reagieren nur auf einige Befehle der Fernbedienung: Testen Sie weitere Codes, bis die Gerte auf die Befehle entsprechend reagieren. Wenn keine der beschriebenen Code-Programmierungen zum Erfolg fhrt, kann es in besonderen Einzelfllen vorkommen, dass das Gert nicht kompatibel zu Ihrer Universal-Fernbedienung ist.

Gert Werfen Sie die Universal-Fernbedienung am Ende ihrer Lebenszeit keinesfalls in den normalen Hausmll. Erkundigen Sie sich in Ihrer Stadt- oder Gemeindeverwaltung nach Mglichkeiten einer umweltund sachgerechten Entsorgung. Batterien Verbrauchte Batterien gehren nicht in den Hausmll! Sie mssen bei einer Sammelstelle fr Altbatterien abgegeben werden.
