Turn Up the Heat

at the Hyatt Santa Clara Hotel!

he Hyatt Corporation is owned by the one of the most wealthiest families
in the world. Last year in one single day, they made $1 billion by
selling the company stock. In the first 9 months of 2010, Hyatt
earned a whopping $60 million in profit.
But yet ….
A In Santa Clara, they are denying their workers the right to be in the
Union through a fair process. Every day Hyatt Santa Clara workers are
faced with excessive workloads, low wages, lack of respect and lack
of quality, affordable health care.
A In San Francisco, they are taking a stand against immigrant workers by
refusing to pay 2 cents into the Union Legal Fund so their workers can continue to
receive legal services for adjusting their immigration status, for citizenship applications and
to unite with their families.
A In Boston, Hyatt fired 100 housekeepers (some of whom had been at the hotel for 22 years) and replaced
them with subcontracted workers who are being paid at minimum wage and with no benefits.
Be there to tell Hyatt that their anti -worker and anti-immigrant attitude are bad for business.

We will turn up the heat until Hyatt learns to respect its workers.

en Contra del Hotel Hyatt Santa Clara!

na de las familias más ricas del mundo es dueña de la Corporación Hyatt. El
año pasado en un solo día, ganaron 1 mil millón con la venta de acciones
de la compañía. Durante los primero 9 meses del 2010, Hyatt ganó la
enorme cantidad de $60 millones de ganancia.
Sin embargo….
A En Santa Clara, les niegan a sus trabajadores el derecho de integrarse a la
Unión por medio de un proceso justo. Todos los días los trabajadores del
Hyatt Santa Clara se enfrentan con una carga de trabajo excesiva, salario
bajo, la falta de respeto, y la falta de seguro médico de buena calidad y a
precio alcanzable.
A En San Francisco, están asumiendo una posición en contra de los trabajadores
inmigrantes negándose a pagar 2 centavos al Fondo Legal de la Unión para que sus
trabajadores puedan seguir recibiendo servicios legales para ajustar su estado inmigratorio, para las
solicitudes de ciudadanía y para unirse con sus familias.
A En Boston, Hyatt despidió a 100 recamareras (algunas tenían 22 años trabajando en el hotel) y las
sustituyeron con trabajadores subcontratados a quienes les pagan el salario mínimo sin ningún beneficio.
No falten a la manifestación para decirle a Hyatt que su actitud en contra de los trabajadores y en contra de los
inmigrantes es mala para el negocio.

Vamos a subir la presión hasta que el Hyatt sepa respetar a sus trabajadores.

ng Korporasyon ng Hyatt ay pag-aari ng isa sa mga pinakamayamang pamilya sa
mundo. Nitong nakaraang taon, sa isang araw lamang ay nakakamit sila ng 1
bilyong dolyar sa pagbebenta ng “stock” ng kanilang kumpanya. Sa unang
9 na buwan ng 2010, ang Hyatt ay tumubo ng napakalaking $60 milyong dolyar.
Ngunit….
A Sa Santa Clara, tinatanggihan nila ang karapatan ng kanilang mga trabahador
na sumali sa Unyon sa pamamagitan ng makatarungang paraan. Araw-araw
ang mga trabahador sa Hyatt Santa Clara ay sobra-sobra ang trabaho,
mababa ang kanilang sahod, hindi nirerespeto at wala silang mahusay at
mumurahing benepisyong pangkalusugan.
A S a San Francisco, kinokontra nila ang mga imigranteng trabahador dahil sa
pagtanggi nilang bayaran ang 2 sentimo sa “Union Legal Fund” upang ang kanilang
mga trabahador ay patuloy na makakuha ng serbisyo legal para maayos ang kanilang katayuan sa
imigrasyon, para sa mga aplikasyon para sa “citizenship” at para makasama nila ang kanilang mga pamilya.
A Sa Boston, tinanggal ng Hyatt sa trabaho ang 100 housekeeper (ilan sa kanila ay higit na 22 taong nagtatrabaho sa
hotel na iyon) at pinalitan sila ng mga trabahador na mga “subcontractor” at na sumasahod ng pinakamababang

Makibaka kayo upang sabihin sa Hyatt na ang pagiging kontra-trabahador at kontra-imigrante ay masama para sa negosyo.

Paiinitin natin sila hanggang ang Hyatt ay matutong respetuhin ang kanilang mga trabahador.
