Como ya anunciamos en nuestra primera circular (marzo de 2011), del jueves 11 de octubre de 2012 (da de la apertura) al sbado 13 (da de la clausura) tendr lugar en Gibraltar, el XIII Symposium Internacional de Historia de la Masonera Espaola, dedicado al tema GIBRALTAR, CDIZ, AMRICA Y LA MASONERA. CONSTITUCIONALISMO Y LIBERTAD DE PRENSA, 1812-2012, organizado por el Centro de Estudios Histricos de la Masonera Espaola (CEHME), con el apoyo del Gobierno de Gibraltar, Gobierno de Aragn, Universidad de Zaragoza, Universidad de Cdiz, University of Glasgow y Kings College University of London La llegada de los congresistas y entrega de documentacin tendr lugar el da 10 por la tarde y la salida el da 14. La organizacin del Symposium se propone que todos los congresistas residan en el Caleta Hotel, situado en Sir Herbert Miles Road, Catalan Bay, PO Box 73, tel. 350 200 76501, reservations@caletahotel.gi, donde se les entregar el material. La organizacin del Symposium se hace cargo de la estancia en dicho hotel (alojamiento, desayuno y almuerzo en rgimen de habitacin doble compartida, con suplemento el que opte por habitacin individual o con acompaante), de aquellos congresistas que presenten ponencia o comunicacin, previamente aprobadas por la Comisin Cientfica del Symposium. Las sesiones de trabajo tendrn lugar en el saln de actos del propio Caleta Hotel y comenzarn el da 11 a las 9.00 horas, segn el programa que ser remitido. Para una mejor elaboracin del programa, dada la premura de tiempo, se ruega a todos los participantes que todava no lo hayan hecho, enven URGENTEMENTE el Boletn de inscripcin debidamente cumplimentado indicando el ttulo provisional del trabajo a presentar, as como un resumen de la comunicacin de 15 a 20 lneas y justificante bancario del pago de la inscripcin. El texto definitivo, que no deber sobrepasar las 20 pginas, deber ser remitido al Centro de Estudios Histricos de la Masonera Espaola (CEHME) antes del 15 de mayo de 2012. Este requisito, as como el pago de la cuota de inscripcin, sern indispensables para poder acceder a las ayudas de estancia. En una prxima circular se informar detalladamente sobre las modalidades de viajes a Gibraltar y se enviar el Boletn de Alojamiento para saber exactamente los das de llegada y salida del Hotel. Se recuerda que la extensin mxima de las comunicaciones ser de 20 folios a doble espacio, 30 lneas por 70 espacios. Adems de la copia en papel, ser requisito indispensable la remisin de CD o diskete, a ser posible y preferentemente en Word, y si no, indicando el programa empleado. La Comisin Cientfica del Symposium velar especialmente por la justa evaluacin de las comunicaciones antes y durante la celebracin. No sern aceptadas ni publicadas aquellas que, a juicio de la citada Comisin, no ofrezcan las debidas garantas cientficas o se aparten de las

normas habituales de convivencia en el mbito acadmico. La organizacin del Symposium asume la publicacin de las Actas del mismo y la entrega del Diploma de participacin. La cuota de inscripcin es de 100 euros, reducida a 70 euros para estudiantes, licenciados en paro y miembros del CEHME. As previously announced in our first circular (March 2011), we are pleased to announce that as from Thursday 11th 2012 to Saturday 13th the XIII International History Symposium of Spanish Freemasonry, dedicated to the theme GIBRALTAR, CDIZ, AMRICA Y LA MASONERA. CONSTITUCIONALISMO Y LIBERTAD DE PRENSA, 1812-2012 will take place in Gibraltar,

organized by the Centro de Estudios Histricos de la Masonera Espaola (CEHME), with the support of the Government of Gibraltar, Government of Aragon, University of Zaragoza, University of Cadiz, University of Glasgow, Kings College University of London and Canonbury Masonic Research Centre. The arrival of the delegates and documentation will take place in the afternoon of the 10th and all delegates will depart by the 14th. The symposium organizers have arranged for all delegates to be hosted at the Caleta Hotel, situated at Sir Herbert Miles Road, Catalan Bay, PO Box 73, tel. 350 200 76501, reservations@caletahotel.gi, where all relevant documents and material will be distributed. The symposium organizers will make all arrangements in the said hotel (room allocation, breakfast and lunch in shared twin rooms, with a supplement for those opting for single beds or with a travelling partner) for those delegates presenting research papers or communications previously approved by the symposium scientific panel. Working sessions will take place within the Caleta Hotels own conference room starting at 9:00 a.m. on the 11th as stated in the conference programme to be distributed. Given the time constraints, we urge all participants who have yet not done so, to URGENTLY send their duly completed registration forms to facilitate the development of the programme, indicating the provisional title of the work to be presented and a 15-20 line summary of their paper together with a bank receipt copy as evidence of payment for registration. The final text, which should not exceed 20 pages, must be submitted to the Center for Historical Studies of Spanish Masonry (CEHME) before the 1st June, 2012. This requirement, as well as evidence of registration fees will be essential in order to obtain access to hotel assistance. In our following circular we will give detailed information for travelling to Gibraltar accompanied by an accommodation form in order to know on exactly which days you will require hotel accommodation. We must remind you that the maximum extension allowed for each paper will be of 20 pages, double spaced, 30 lines by 70 characters. In addition to the paper copy, it is also a prerequisite that a soft copy preferable in Word, or in another clearly indicated program be supplied in CD or diskette. The Symposium Scientific Commission will ensure that a just and fair evaluation is given to all communications before and during the event. No communication will be accepted or published if in the opinion of the aforementioned Commission, provide the necessary scientific guarantees or deviate from the normal academic rules of investigation. The Symposium organisers assume responsibility for the publication of the Acts in question and the presentation of diplomas for participants. The subscription fee is 100, reduced to 70 for students, unemployed graduates and members of the CEHME.
