Introducción
Actualidad, los ansiolíticos pueden ser
recetados por cualquier médico al
detectar que sus pacientes están bajo
algún tipo de estrés sin investigar más a
fondo las causas.
 Ansiedad
Es una respuesta cognitiva, afectiva y fisiologica y
coductual ante la percepcion y evaluacion de eventos
adversos o amenazantes.

Se caracteriza por estar orientada al futuro junto a una falta

de copntrol sobre este.

 Fármacos
Un ansiolítico o tranquilizante menor es un fármaco
psicotrópico con acción depresora del sistema nervioso
central, destinado a disminuir o eliminar los síntomas de la
ansiedad esperando no producir sedación o sueño. Las mas
usadas son las benzodiacepinas. (BZD)

 Modo de empleo
 Al inicio se debe administrar en dosis bajas e incrementar la
dosis paulatinamente segui¡n las necesidades individuales

 Se debería empezar siempre con la dosis mínima pues tienen un

vida media mayor ae 24 horas y tienden a acumularse confrme
se extiende el tratamiento

 Es importante revalorar periódicamente su dosificación

 Para retirar el tratamiento debe hacerse paulatinamente

 El efecto terapéutico mas importante se observa en las primeras

semanas

• Se recomienda que su uso sea por periodos breves ( 6

semanas)
• En la 3ª edad podría prolongarse más tiempo,
 Efectos colaterales

benzodiacepinas y fármacos Z publicados desde 2007 hasta
2017, se encontraron efectos secundarios como falta de
coordinación motriz o reducción del volumen respiratorio
en particular en adultos mayores y con uso prolongado.
