Queridos hermanos, hermanas, hermanitos,

Mi nombre es Juan, soy argentino, de madre católica y padre judío. Siento mucha vergüenza
por lo que el Estado de Israel, que dice representar al pueblo de mi padre, mis abuelos y
bisabuelos, está haciendo en territorio Palestino; siento mucha vergüenza por lo que la
civilización occidental cristiana está permitiendo que suceda con sus niños y ancianos. Soy uno
más de los millones que está alzando la voz, desde la debilidad de los que no tenemos el poder,
para intentar frenar esta carnicería.

Quisiera abrazarlos a todos; me siento mal porque quiero estar con ustedes soportando las
bombas y el dolor, el hambre y la sed, el miedo, las penurias, organizando la ayuda, desafiando
la prepotencia de las armas, porque me siento uno con ustedes; pero tengo otra misión en mi
tierra, con los hijos de mi propio pueblo que también sufren la injusticia, la exclusión y otras
formas de apartheid.

Hemos hecho un aporte de los excluidos de Argentina, mis compañeros y compañeras, los más
pobres de los pobres, que organizados en cooperativas, sindicatos y movimientos sociales, les
envían lo poco que tienen, sabiendo que el futuro de la humanidad están en los pobres y los
pueblos pobres, en nuestra capacidad de unirnos más allá de religiones e ideologías.

Muchos productos los fabricamos con nuestras manos y otras son donaciones de estudiantes,
técnicos, científicos y profesionales cristianos, islámicos y judíos, incluso judíos cuyos familiares
fueron asesinados el 7 de octubre o aún son rehenes por cuya liberación también rezamos;

Quisiera de corazón que en vez de enviar alimentos podríamos mandarles camisetas de Messi y
Maradona, pelotas de fútbol, cosas lindas para que jueguen; que todos los niños y niñas
puedan ser felices, estudiar y crecer en paz. Pero ahora, este es nuestro aporte, lo que nos han
pedido y podemos conseguir… y lo enviamos con todo el amor del mundo, para que sepan
que en la otra punta del planeta tierra son amados, oídos y respetados con mucha más fuerza
que la del odio de los que sin piedad los matan.

‫العديد من المنتجات نقوم بتصنيعها بأيدينا والبعض اآلخر هو تبرع من طالب وفنيين وعلماء ومهنيين مسيحيين وإسالميين‬
‫ويهود‪ ،‬حتى يهود قتلوا أحد أفراد عائالتهم في السابع من أكتوبر أو ال يزالون أسرى ندعو أيضًا إلى تحريرهم؛‬

‫أتمنى من القلب أن نستطيع أن نرسل لكم قمصان ميسي ومارادونا وكرات كرة القدم‪ ،‬أشياء جميلة لتلعبوا بها‪ ،‬حتى يتسنى‬
‫لجميع األطفال أن يكونوا سعداء‪ ،‬وأن يتعلموا وينموا في سالم‪ .‬ولكن اآلن‪ ،‬هذا هو إسهامنا‪ ،‬ما طلبوه منا ونستطيع الحصول‬

Dear brothers, sisters, and dear ones,

My name is Juan; I am Argentine, born to a Catholic mother and a Jewish father. I feel a deep
sense of shame for what the State of Israel, claiming to represent my father's people, my
grandparents, and great-grandparents, is doing in Palestinian territory. I feel profound shame
for what Western Christian civilization is allowing to happen to its children and elders. I am one
of millions raising our voices, from the weakness of those without power, to try to stop this
carnage.

I want to embrace you all; I feel a heaviness because I want to be with you, enduring the
bombs and pain, hunger and thirst, fear, hardships, organizing aid, challenging the arrogance of
weapons because I feel one with you. But I have another mission in my land, with the children
of my own people who also suffer injustice, exclusion, and other forms of apartheid.

We have made a contribution from the excluded in Argentina, my comrades, the poorest of the
poor, organized in cooperatives, unions, and social movements, sending what little they have,
knowing that the future of humanity lies in the poor and the poor nations, in our ability to
unite beyond religions and ideologies.

Many products are crafted by our own hands, and others are donations from students,
technicians, scientists, and professionals, Christians, Muslims, and Jews, even Jews whose
relatives were killed on October 7th, or are still hostages for whose release we also pray.

I wish from the bottom of my heart that instead of sending food, we could send Messi and
Maradona jerseys, footballs, beautiful things for you to play with; that all children could be
happy, study, and grow in peace. But for now, this is our contribution, what you have asked for
and what we can provide… and we send it with all the love in the world, so that you know that
on the other side of the planet, you are loved, heard, and respected much more strongly than
the hatred of those who mercilessly kill you.
