❖If there is a stem change in the yo present tense, then it changes in the subjunctive too, BUT not in
the nosotros form (leave the base alone, only flip it)
❖Pensar (ie): piense, pienses, piense, pensemos, piensen
❖Querer (ie): quiera, quieras, quiera, queramos, quieran
❖Encontrar (ue): encuentre, encuentres, encuentre, encontremos, encuentren

❖Verbs that end in –ir:

❖If there is a stem change in the yo present tense, then it changes in the subjunctive too, AND it also
requires a change in the nosotros form in the subjunctive. (drop the e from the stem change present
tense)
❖Preferir (ie): prefiera, prefieras, prefiera, prefiramos, prefieran
❖Dormir (ue): duerma, duermas, duerma, durmamos, duerman
❖Servir (i): sirva, sirvas, sirva, sirvamos, sirvan
